I've always thought about doing the exact same thing you're doing right now with my account, but could never bring myself to do it.

Hope you're enjoying yourself, and after reading your diary entry; you seem to be off to an awesome start :)

Best of luck

Still alive?

Heh I just came by to leave a post. I've been really busy IRL, but I've been doing a Barrows run here and there when I can. I have a method that only uses up monkfish and allows me to do a run in 10 - 15 minutes which isn't bad I guess. My main aim at the minute is to get gear for Slayer as that will provide me with so much raw materials and great opportunities to build my character.

[hide=Diary Entry #2]After a successful start to my campaign, things started to cool down as I settled into my new regime. I decided that Slayer was the way forward; I would get herbs from Spectres, charms from Waterfiends and that variety that everybody needs to stay entertained. Of course, I felt that rune just wouldn't cut it for me so I needed to try my hand at Barrowsing again. It became second nature immediately, and I got into an old method that required monkfish and teletabs as my only expendables. The drops just wouldn't pop out at a nice rate for me though, and after 30 odd chests I only got one thing. Fortunately, it was half of what I needed. A plateskirt or set of platelegs soon, I hope...

After that, I needed a break from the doom and gloom of the tombs. I switched to the other end of the spectrum and went north, to complete the latest quest. It wasn't difficult at all, but it was good to get a bit more information on the mysterious Mahjarrat. It seems strange to think the Wilderness was once a paradise...

I am still working towards Slaying, I need to gather a fair few potions and equipment first before I can begin though. Chaos Druids will need to be slain and Barrows brothers defeated, it seems...[/hide]

Just to let everyone know I am still around, been very busy with school recently so haven't been playing much. I will write a new diary when I get back into playing, a fair few things have happened since the last one I guess.

[hide=Diary Entry #3]Hello there, it's been a while! :P

I have been on and off recently, hence the lack of a diary entry. However, a fair few things have happened since the 19th April. I have attempted, and partially succeeded, in getting my herb Farming up and running. After some serious planning and deliberation, I have found a good setup to get me all the necessary herbs and seconds I need. Irits, kwuarms, cadantines, ranarrs and snapdragons will all be planted an harvested alongside limpwurts. It took me a while to find a good method of getting the seeds, but Vinesweeper takes the cake for limpwurts. I can easily get enough seeds for ten farming runs in about fifteen minutes there. I also experimented with Master Farmers, and got this.

After that, I took myself to GWD to tick the dragon boots off my list of things to aquire before I start Slaying. I didn't want to waste prayer potions, so I cheaped out and camped at the entrance where most of the Spiritual Mages are in combat with other monsters. Right on cue:

I also wanted to find a way of getting a fury back, and as much I *cough* love *cough* Runecrafting, I couldn't see myself crafting 20k odd death runes. So, with my small cash pile about to get smaller, I bought myself enough chaos and deaths from Aubury to buy myself an onyx stone. About an hour later, I did this:

Now begins the tedious task of getting the rest of the potions and food I need for Slayer. I aquired some guams and made some Macaws, so once the slaying commences my Spectre tasks will be completely dedicated to keeping up a steady supply of herbs. I will be at Chaos Druids and Piscatoris for the forseeable future, and I still need to get myself a set of platelegs from barrows.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi guys, haven't posted in a while but thought I should just update everyone so they know I dropped the self sufficiency goal (was that really a surprise?)

I have learnt quite a bit by trying to do things my own way, and to keep at least a little bit of that spirit I am going to be doing herb runs more often now so I can make my own potions. My 90 Farming goal has been revived, however I don't expect to ifnd motivation to do my tree runs just yet. I will slay as much as I can, I'm enjoying it right now but who knows how long it'll last. FYi I am not cannoning, I'm trying to make as much cash as possible for Summoning. Keep posting!

Wyverns are quite nice because of the crimson charms, but they are quite cumbersome as I often have to take two trips to complete them. I don't mind the chance of getting a visage, but if this is a loop I've encountered so early on on my goal I'll be somewhat annoyed! :P

I'll be making a new bank tab for my Slayer loot after this task, I'm going to try my hardest to keep it all so I can see what I got from 90 - 95. I'll keep an updated picture on the front of my blog. :)

Nice drops and levels  You should try and get 99 range from slayer while ur at it, it might be slow but some tasks are reasonably fun to range

Great minds think alike, check out the front page. I'm chinning Nech tasks and ranging Greaters in the Enclave from now on. ;)
