sohkmj1
I can't really give an exact time when I'll be on local, so I'll try to sign in here whenever I get a chance. Send me a pm so we can work something out. Also, in teambuider, I selected hidden power grass. However in battle, in turns out to be normal. Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?Don't change your pokemon's stats after you do the selection. (This seems to be the problem) No. Hidden Power has a display type of "Normal" on Shoddy. No matter what you set your Hidden Power to, it will ALWAYS display as Hidden Power - Normal from my experience, but it will still behave as the correct type. Maybe there's some way to change it, but it really doesn't matter since it's only the display, not the actual type used in calculation.I thought he was talking about Hidden Power not behaving as it should :s

Zaaps1
Hmm, had an idea for a support Bronzong. Bronzong is one of the sturdiest Pokemon in the game, with only one weakness: Fire, and great defenses. Bronzong also has access to a large number of decent moves. So I was building an offensive team, and of course needed a Pokemon that could take down walls/threats for my main sweepers. Bronzong @ Macho Brace0 spd IV252def/252 spdef/4hpDef/Sp Def boosting nature, probably leaning more toward Def, but definitely something lowering speed. -Gyro Ball-Explosion-Trick-Hypnosis Right off the bat, Bronzong hits anything with higher than ~200 speed with a full power Gyro Ball + STAB. Next, Bronzong can trick its Macho Brace onto a threatening sweeper, halving its speed. This really shuts down Pokemon like Salamence and Latias, provided Latias doesn't have Trick as well. Bronzong can also hypnotize something and take it out of the game. Lastly, it can explode, taking a useful item (perhaps a Life Orb or Choice Item) away from your opponent if you've received it through Trick. I've used this on a team, and it works very well at taking down a problem Pokemon. Although it technically can shut down 3 (excluding KOs with Gyro Ball), you usually can't get that many due to the lack of a recovery move (although perhaps remedied by a Wish user such as Vaporeon). Another option would be to use an Iron Ball, which also removes immunity to ground type attacks in addition to halving speed. Lagging Tail is also an option to ensure the other Pokemon always moves last, but doesn't power up Gyro Ball. So what do you guys think? ~It's Super Effective! Poppet
Looks nice through Trick isn't that useful with Macho Brace (Because your only lowering how effective your Gyro Ball is and makes Trick only useful against sweepers etc.) try using Iron Ball instead so you can get the benefit of removing Flying type's Ground immunity which also means you can use Heat Proof instead of Levi. through thats you call. Through let me just list benefits: Macho Brace: Pros: Useful for Gyro Ball and you always have your Levi.Iron Ball: Pros: Useful for Gyro Ball,Allows for either Ability, and Tricking removes ground immunity.Lagging Tail: Pros: It allows Brozong to be able to quickly explode or attack etc. Cons:Macho Brace compared to Iron Ball: They both have benefits from Gyro Ball through Macho Brace has to use Levi. while Iron Ball can have either through Levi. doesn't work until the Iron Ball is Tricked through benefits of Tricking it removes ground immunity. Zaaps1
Exploding on a Lagging Tail trick is redundant. Why not just explode off the bat, without tricking? Although otherwise, Lagging Tail does a good job of really shutting down anything that isn't a tank to begin with. Come to think of it, Bronzong isn't very good at shutting down tanks, since you normally want to have access to Hypnosis/Explosion without a Choice Scarf/Band. Macho Brace is probably still better, unless you use Iron Ball + Heatproof for mindgames, as you said. Levitate is simply one of the best abilities, and looked at objectively, ground is used more than fire, so it's better to have ground IMMUNITY as opposed to NEUTRALITY to fire. ~It's Super Effective! Zaaps1
Apparently, it's updated for DP, but it's lacking the HG/SS updates as well as a fair few of the Platinum ones. ~It's Super Effective! Orpheus
I'm withdrawing from the tournament, I just simply haven't had any time to find a slot to get a match done. Soma2035
When was suspect testing finished? :o (Latias and Manaphy OU, Garchomp Uber, for those who didn't already hear about it.) Anyhow, I believe they're testing the clauses now, which means the tiers have been pretty much finalized. Can we start using Latias and Manaphy now? :( Want to learn to Nex? Anyways its not like we would get to use either anyways Manaphy's Heart Swap is still glitchy and Latias is too simlier to Latios and the Soul Dew. Anyways its not like we would get to use either anyways Manaphy's Heart Swap is still glitchy and Latias is too simlier to Latios and the Soul Dew. Uh, what? Testing is over. They just concluded their latest test, which puts Latias and Manaphy in OU and Garchomp in Uber. And, seeing as it's the final stage of the test, they're not likely to be moving any of the three again for a while. Manaphy's Heart Swap is simply disabled on the smogon server, and Latias is not at all similar to Latios, which is why Latios is Uber and Latias is OU. Soul Dew Clause is also standard, you can't put it on Latias, you can't put it on Latios, you can't even put it on Pikachu. The item itself is banned. Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! Click for more information!
Zaaps1
Heart Swap isn't "disable" in the sense that the move is broken (such like the item Soul Dew is "broken"), but because Shoddy can't get the move to work accurately. Manaphy belongs in ubers imo. Hydration + 100 base stats under rain + Tail Glow is pretty deadly. ~It's Super Effective!
