After knocking him down to 80% he keeps on calling out some lv 33 mantises that gave us problems. He kicked our [wagon] the first time we fought, then the second we destroyed him. Was really fun doing it, though it's nothing compared to some of the RuneScape puzzles, but it's a start if you ask me. Only done Kylikki's so far but, The Champion Honorguard (1st boss) was tank and spank. Kylikki was basicly the same, needed abit more team work from the mages and the other tanks in the raid. Nadril Posted July 21, 2008 Author Share Posted July 21, 2008 I never did finish BC on my HoX. My HoX is level 60 now, and essentially he is my new main. I have no idea why I ever got the ToS up to 80, as I don't really like it in PvP. If all goes as planned I should have my HoX 80 by the time the PvP patch comes out. Anyways, speaking of the HoX crafted gear is just ridiculously OP. I had 15g or so sitting around from my ToS and, well, I decided that I may as well use it. So I bought the entire blue lvl 60 crafted set, including a 2H sword and a cloak. I then proceeded to gem it out with nothing but +3.5 to +5.7 to 2H damage gems! I got my weapon DPS from something like 95 up to 180! Needless to say my HoX's normal hits, on villa mobs, hit for a good 10%-15% of their life. Usually now by the time the combo goes off they have like 40% hp. I hit, on average, for 350 or so a swing. In other, slightly related news, I switched guilds with TFB again. We had merged with [Xen of Onslaught] but were quickly met with a guild that just wasn't up to our standards. They failed a raid that [Pandora's Mighty Soldiers] had PUG'D. Well, we ended up merging with Pandora's like we originally planned. Me and a guildie were made officers so, unlike in Xen, we have some weight in the guild. They have all (or most) of the T1 content on farm as well, so it's a good fit. Also my HoX's name is Ormn currently. I'm hoping for name changes soon to change it to Cyrant. If Funcom increased their hp by say 10%? They'd be pretty good in PvP. Crafted armour has been known to be OP'd for a long time. These level 80 Assassins that I know of are hitting for 1.5k to 2.5k in white damage, they only have about half of their crafted gear gemmed with +dagger damage. It's insane what their combos do in overall damage. Easily one hitting priest/mage/rogue classes. I've given up on PvPing to get used to these keybinds anyways, so the PvP update can wait. ^_^ Our guild nearly has a Tier 2 keep, we have 11/25 stacks (100) of granite for it. So irritating. You put your skill to a Barb, BS, or even a Guardian, probably not very many would beat you, except for those with the same skill level. Classes really don't matter if you have enough skill in PvP. I've adapted, or whatever, to the class Assassin. To take on 3-5 mobs at a time, I'm using every single ability I have, and using potions, as well as food. 'Almost' every other class can take on much more without using many abilities, or the same amount of 'skill' involved in keeping oneself alive. I have several combos that do various kinds of things (multiple hits, big damage + debuff, ect.) and I have another combo that I drive my sword into the ground and fire erupts in an AoE. In another one of my combos, I eat your heart, my HoX literally slams his hand into the chest of a minion mob (only works on minions) and rips their heart out and takes a bite of it, killing them. I can turn into a [bleep]ing demon in which I deal more damage in combat, have a passive aoe around me. The class is one of the most unique offerings to an MMO in a while. Most classes save for the major AoE ones can't take on 5 mobs at once easy. Also potions aren't a big deal, I chain pop them on my HoX. Likewise with food. Also put my skill to a barb and what happens? I out range his main attacks (DW) and can stun him when he goes to CoS me. I'll probably just 1 shot him before then. Bear shaman? I can burst them if fine, and as long as they don't hit me they can't heal. Guardian? Unless it is a pole guardian they aren't that hard, just annoying. Classes don't matter as long as you have basic PvP tactics memorized/mastered in a sense, strafing, jumping, using knockbacks/stuns/AoE's...etc. Don't know if your getting what I'm saying or if I have to explain that PvP skill totally disregards class entirely.
