The removal of Random Event...Clothing?

Featured Replies

Are they even getting removed anymore?

Or just dumbed down?

I remember reading that the Drunken Dwarf would become something like Postie Pete.

(I skim read the hole thread, sorry if I missed something relevant to this.)

I personally don't want them to remove any of the random events. They add a lot to the game and I like all of the rewards they give. It is nice to do one of them and get a couple of uncut diamonds or a half key. They only random that I really dislike is Molly and that is only because it can take a while if the twin decides to move around a lot.

Btw, I hope they keep the Sandwich Lady. I collect the sammiches. :P

Jagex is only removing useless randoms with crummy rewards. Here's my hit-list: sandwich lady, pinball, prison pete, pious pete, the certers, Jekyll and Hide, evil chicken, beekeeper, and Molly.

Prison pete? No way man, game over. That event is very easy, and you can get free snapdragons for it.

Besides that, I'd argee with you. The irony is I've never gotten Pious pete or the beekeeper (in fact, I wasn't even aware they still existed.)

As for Mchainmail, that could work... Like the Doomsayer for warnings, their could be an Event-Goer that can turn off randoms that give clothing, if and ONLY IF you have the full set. Losing any piece of it automaticly turns that event back on.

...But this is General Discussion and not Suggestions...

They may not exist. I know the doctor who gives lemon slices is gone.

A "Dr. Ford" or who-knows, right? The event which happens after a fruit conks you in the head.

Still, they existed at one point. I didn't know they still existed however. :anxious:

Need a new signature....perhaps...

Jagex might just keep the event in only for the people that have not yet gotten the clothing. If you have the full set, you won't get the event.

AWESOME. :)

i don't have to keep getting the forester event and the mime one =D

I think there should be a retirement home for all random events that get removed. where you pay 10 gp each to experience the event and therefore people can still get ones like the bee keeper and pete which i never have gotten.

The following statement is true. The previous statement is false. 60% of all statistics are made up 90% of the time

andrew i love you & want you to have my babys!!! <3:

Finally, I get to save the Earth with deadly lasers instead of deadly slide shows!

That is a very good idea. Why not have two, one for previous events, and one for current events. For the previous events, you would have a retirement home, like you suggested. For the current events, a hotel where they stay. You could place the event characters in a setting similar to what their events involve (Sandwich lady runs a sandwich shop, mime is on stage, performing, Evil Bob [i think that's his name] is downstairs, and once you go down, you get teleported to the ScapeRune prison). I think that could work very well.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

I think Jagex should be careful about which randoms they remove, because Randoms do play a part in the game. I think the best thing to do would be to add something like the doomsayer where you could toggle off a number of events, not all but a certain number. That way, Randoms are still in the game, but the randoms you get, are randoms you actually want, your favourite randoms. That way, no-one can complain about randoms being took out.

The downside is that randoms specifically made for certain tasks would just be turned off, making life easier for bots, but for things like woodcutting we still have the shaking tree and the flying axe head.

that's really a good point ;)

i really dont know but i hope we'll be able to keep our outfits and emotes ;)

some of them are really cool tbh <3:

Ty Veyron for Siggy help!

with what the person said about turning on/off events. after my arm quest you should be able to turn off drunken dwarf...he got eated

I definitely think they need to get rid of the rare ones like pious pete. When I got one training agility about two years ago, it took me like 5 minutes to figure out what to do.

Oh, and I still haven't buried enough bones since the gravedigger update to get those zombie clothes :wall:

Lol, if they remove her all her fancy breads and sammies will be the new easter eggs/pumpkins so I doubt they'll do that.

No, they'll be like war ships and broken spinning plates because they're untradable.

Hopefully once you get all the clothing the random stops appearing i get drill demon all the time...and i have full camo.
