Maleficus1055
I noticed we did'nt have a topic on Death Note, so here is one. Discuss all things Death Note :D I have so far only watched 7 episodes on Youtbe but I really like this show. It is without a doubt one of the strangest but most awesome shows I ahve seen in a while. Problem though...after seven I can only find part of episode 8 and the other parts without subtitles or in Spanish. Does anyone know how I can see the others? Tumblr. Follow me! scootlaboot
I have the entire series on my computer. It's subbed, but the voice acting is better. Punc
Only read the manga, but it's a great story. Are there any major differences between manga and anime? If not, you can just read it at http://www.onemanga.com/Death_Note/.

Nadril
I enjoyed it when I watched it earlier this year. Pretty much rewatching the series as well on [AS] as they come on dubbed. Code Geass (comes on after death notes on [AS]) I've found to be pretty good too. Kind of feels like a death note with big mechs. Maybe not as smart but still a good show from what I've seen so far. Jaziek
. Kind of feels like a death note with big mechs. . oh good god you could not be more wrong. I dont know how far through season 1 adult swim is, but code geass gets severely more awesome around the middle, and then just does not stop until the end of the first season.. Theres some real tear jerker moments, and bits where you'll be on the edge of your seat for nearly a whole episode. the end leaves you hungering for the second season like you've never hungered for anything before. And the second season is just.... Wow...

It's getting pretty good, last ep I remember: [hide=spoilers]"Zero" did a plan to get the hostages out of that building. Ends up blowing it up, but got the hostages to safty on a boat.[/hide] But yeah, I've been enjoying the show. May have to just download it and watch all of them and season 2 (just two seasons?) instead of waiting for them on [AS].

It was fun to pause halfway through and just think about what Lelouch would do next. Never thought that hard about an anime before. I can't say Death Note does much for me either. I watched about 5 episodes of it and it was boring. I'd decided that I'd watched enough and haven't had any desire to continue watching the series. The fanbase also put me off. The fangirls (bleargh) take whatever meaning is in Death Note and replace it with 'L is hot.' Steam | Soup | Last.fm
Jaziek
you really thing R2 is that much worse than R1? I mean sure the show took a different direction, but I think its just as good. They've managed to keep it action packed whilst introducing new character sets and very interesting plot twists, and I can honestly say I have no idea whats gonna happen next. Jernlov
Just to clarify -- I do enjoy the Death Note manga; I'm on about vol. 3 or 4 at the moment. It started a bit slowly but I'm really starting to get into it. But for some reason, I can't stand the anime, be it subtitled or dubbed. And I usually enjoy anime more than manga. you really thing R2 is that much worse than R1? I mean sure the show took a different direction, but I think its just as good. UGH. I watched episode 3 of R2 yesterday and my God, did I rage. It was so predictable and boring. Might wanna disregard my opinion, it seems 99% of everybody says R2 is a masterpiece. :o Steam | Soup | Last.fm

Caxis
I read the manga and watched the anime. The first half was really good, but it went downhill during the second half. I didn't like the ending either...

Nom
I think it was of the best shows I've ever seen. The beginning was awesome, the middle flagged a bit and then [hide=]L died[/hide] and those few episodes were good, then it got slow again until the last few episodes, which were amazing. Still an awesome show.
reaper88888
Terrific story. And thanks to it only being twelve volumes, I could afford to buy it.. There are probably some sites that have it free, just google it.. :| There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.
