I used to browse the site for guides, then, a few months later, I had to sell and buy some stuff and used the TIF, since I was f2p I couldn't use the runescape official ones.

A little after that I started to use the forums more and more especially for the graveyard at first since I was all into pking and downloaded hundreds of those amazing P2P pking vids, then later on I started checking the F2P and later P2P General Discussion boards and I got sucked into the community :P Even made 7 PK vids and my very own blog which is pretty much dead atm :P

I really wanted to access the RS forums, but they're P2P...sigh.

Tip.It is really informative, and really helps me (as does some other sites). The main reason that I chose it was because the community here seemed to be really established, and more intelligent than your average RS'er. (which isn't that big of a compliment...)

F2p RS'er, and proud!

Having a basic knowledge of grammar and spelling should be a requirement for RS.

Being honest, there are a lot of RuneScape fansites out there which promote the breaking of the Jagex Rules of Conduct. By this I mean things like world switchers, third party clients etc. Tip.It has none of those at all, which I'm happy about. That increased my faith in the website and sparked me to join the Tip.It Forums. I also like the community as a whole here. :)

Tip was all that was around when I started RS

Hahahahaha, ya exactly my thought when i saw the title of the tread in 2k1 it was the only option !

RuneScape HD in 2560x1024!

I know the answer and, because I cannot convey screaming feverishly on forums without looking odd or getting banned, just imagine it as such.

At first I was a fairly active member of Runevillage. After like, 6 months I became inactive for some reason (probably due to temporary inactivity from Runescape). Later, Mrpez wanted me to join TipIt so I did. I ended up liking TipIt more because Runevillage forums were very slow (sometimes waited a day to get a response on a thread), and I generally just like TipIt's layout more. But still miss Runevillage's community.

I agree. If Runevillage was a faster forum, I'd probably be there instead of here, because they have a GREAT community.

I don't remember how I got here. But now it's a lifeline(the main site) and now, even though forum quality is going down, I'm sort of stuck here because my clan is here, my friends are here, and I'm great friends with quite a few staff members.

I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete.
So, what is 1.111... equal to?

10/9.

Please don't continue.

I actually started off in the RSOF purely because of it's officialness, and tried to bear it for as long as possible because it was the only place where Jagex participated actively, so I felt like I was potentially affecting the game that I loved. Of course, I wasn't really, but I liked to think I was.

Before then, I'd never taken part in forums, so I didn't realise how immature it was in comparison to other RS related forums out there. I then started looking around the Web for fansites for things like Skill advice and Quest hints, and I settled on RuneHQ and Tip.It. I liked tip.it more, but there were some things that RuneHQ offered that tip.it didn't. It took me about a year to start noticing that tip.it forums could be a much worthier substitute for the RSOF, and I never tried RuneHQ forums because I liked the tip.it site better.

Tip.It has the best forums.

Oh, and you couldn't see RUnehq forums without registering then, so I looked at TIF and I liked it.

Suprising really, didn't really use tip.it, still rarely do, Runehq's guides are waaay better. (imo)

Tip.it is more cerebral the Zybez and HQ. It would be much more pleasant if the mod wannabe's would stop posting about their opinion on weather a post is in the wrong spot or weather it deserves to be discussed. I am also finding there to be a lot more RS bashing here then there used to be. Regardless, it is better then the other options out there.

Well I started off with RuneHq 4 quite a long time (still with them, but I'm more with TipIt now). Then sometime after the MSSW3?, I came 2 this site (I knew it existed but I became a little more interested) and read around and found that it had a great community. One main factor was the TET events :P I love going to them and the amount of people and friends u can meet here are amazing  . I like TipIt a whole lot more now! :D

I first discovered TipIt through a Google search of "Runescape fansites" btw

i already used tipit as runescape help site, started exploring and found the forums (due all the poll links etc discuss here and new hot topic news messages) looked on tif and browsed a few months without a account and then made one.
