RIP Michaelangelopolous

i joined this forum because of the awesome crew, the nice fellow-tipiters and because tip.it is known for hosting the best events ever :D

Not like I had much of a choice, at that time it was either this or RuneVillage... And I didn't like the RuneVillage skin/layout much. So TipIt it was.

At first I was a fairly active member of Runevillage. After like, 6 months I became inactive for some reason (probably due to temporary inactivity from Runescape). Later, Mrpez wanted me to join TipIt so I did. I ended up liking TipIt more because Runevillage forums were very slow (sometimes waited a day to get a response on a thread), and I generally just like TipIt's layout more. But still miss Runevillage's community.

because it was featured on the official Runescape site as a tip site, so I sticked with it as it helped me alot \'

I remember the day I found Tip.it for the first time. I was in the wild with a clan (very small one, 10 man party at most) during the RS2 beta. I needed some information on something so i googled "runescape tips". This was the first place i found. I didn't actually join the forums for a while after that, 2005 to be exact.

Well i always used the main site and i saw my friend using the forums, i asked him if it was good and he said yes. i made an account and have used it since.

Thanks SkyFleet for the awsome siggy!

Well I first started using the Rune Tips help site. I remember I was standing in Falador by the fountain in front of the west bank, when I came across two people in the middle of a conversation. One of them was asking a question, and the other advised them to check out Tip.it. Out of curiosity, I decided to check it out. After a few months/years/however long it was, I decided to check out the forums... and here I am

I'd been on tip.it for ages, i never did like runehq, or sals realm,

so i saw the forums, and looked around, and there was a great community, so i joined,

I just joined because Neoseeker was recently blocked, and I have not been able to log back in for about a month, stupid job regulating what site I visit

I was quite active on rsof a few years back, but after my break they changed it to a java log in which takes too long imo. I can keep myself logged on here too...

There are more forums, more threads, more posts, more mature people, and sensible mods on here. - It's easier to navigate, much more friendly community. So basically tif rules k?

Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!

I was just searching for "runescape help" on google when I first started playing on my first account back in 02, then found tip.it. Took me about 4 years to find the forums.. :wall: Then I joined when I wanted to start a blog for my 99 WC. All the blogs and stuff were always fun for me to read. Haven't posted much until recently, (well, only because the posts in Blogscape don't count :), then I started getting hooked, it's fun to troll around :)

I was stuck on a quest and I didn't have a clue what it wanted me to do, so I typed in Runescape Quest help and tip.it was one of the top ones. I then found the forum, joined and have stayed here. I do have an account on Runescape Classic, but it is under my old Runescape name so I don't use it anymore.

When RSOF closed TIF was like the only decent forum.

Mechscape World (the original MechScape fansite)

Friends introduced me to Tip.it when I needed quest help. Then one day I noticed that a map on the main site was incorrect, so I signed up for the forums and got it fixed.

Kind of a silly story I guess.

It's the best Runescape fan site and surprisingly most people actually reason with each other on here. Almost every other forum I have seen just has people saying, "Lolz I can beat you up irl I'm 7 feet and in a gang."

Also, the mods aren't too strict and they aren't too apathetic.

Alot of my friends used tipit so I figured Id give it a try. *Peer Pressure*

I originally used runehq because they had a street prices, but I ended up here (thankfully) because the setup was a lot more friendlier and i liked the style of the website =D

I chose tip it because unlike other sites, you don't have to sign in to start veiwing the content.

And then i suppose i staterted to like it more.

I joined Tip.it because the other sites seen noobish, you know may be they are good in some aspect but not as serious and interesting as tip.it. For example here we got an option to tell the staff if we think an advert is offensive or breaks the rules for Jagex like rtw advert or something. Pretty mature and nice ppl seens to be here so why i should pick another site? ::'

Tip was all that was around when I started RS
