If you amass crates you can sell it for scrap and/or random weapons. Older crates are quite valued though, i think crates 1-5 are worth around 1 rec or ref, but don't quote me on that, i'm not into crate trading.

 

Me and a friend of mine placed a bet on who had the better unbox from a medic crate, he go tthe crossbow and i got the medigun :grin:

 

Also found a team captain. Professor specs+team captain is awesome, specially on medic.

Thanks, but I've already priced checked it and i know it's worth a whole lot of stuff, people on the reddit tf2 sub are saying about 3-4 keys, which is great. I won't sell it though, I really like it :)

Also I want a cool soldier hat. Right now I've just got [cabbage]ty generic hats (bills hat, elis cap, ect.) and nothing *cool*. Anyone have any that I could trade for. (though I might not get around to trading for a bit, BF3 beta!)

That hat is worth around 10 keys i believe, but don't quote me on that, i might be confusing it with Earbuds. I know 2 Bill's=1 earbuds, and one of them is 10 keys to get.

 

Basicly, if you sell that bills, you can buy like 10 hats easily, aslong as they are not very sought after (Team Captain is an example, Killer Kabuto too) or are vintage, uncraftable or unusuals. Genuine too.

 

tl;dr : If you don't like Bill's, sell it on forums like Reddit's tf2 trade and use the metal you get to buy other hats.

I'm not sure if it was ever discontinued. I bought L4D2 in late 2010 and still got the hat.

Bills Hat is worth 4-5 keys (about £10-12), and Buds is worth roughly 11-12 keys (about £20). I know 'cause I game-trade a lot, so I don't want some idiot offering me, like, a Bill's for a copy of Skyrim or something :l

 

And no, Ellis/Frying Pan has not been discontinued, I don't think it ever will. Which is why people see the Ellis Cap as "trash".

 

Edit: Let me clarify. Don't get pricing information from Reddit. Ever. Get it from a reliable source. Oh, and, Vintage Hatlesses are among the highest priced hats (in the vintage section, that is) in-game.

UGH. It's been a few months and I still cant figure out this massive FPS spike drop I get on some servers. best gear etc hardware wise, and it [cabbage]s itself due to the limitations Valve have put (and break)

Everyone gets awful FPS in Source games.

 

The problem with the OB engine is that games feel like molasses the moment you go under 90fps. When I'm playing CoD4 it runs really well all the way down to 60, mouse input is consistently smooth and it's a lot easier to make snapshots/flick to heads. In TF2, aiming feels garbage regardless of FPS for some reason. CSS doesn't have this awkward feeling to it.

 

Valve should port it to the L4D2 engine. L4D2 runs beautifully for me and mouse input is a lot more consistent.

Try having it go from 200 FPS to 9 FPS the moment you enter a firefight.

I don't get more than 60 fps and tf2 seems fine for me...

I get like 150FPS on 24 player servers :S.

I get 14 FPS on 32 player servers. 2-3 in combat. Count your blessings.

Should probably also mention I'm running a GTX560ti and 2500k :P. Lol.

I think that's the problem, optimisation is broken with 32 slots. I run perfectly on 24 slot servers and 30 slot trade servers (cause there's not many people killing) but the two 32 slot servers im ALWAYS on are a total lag fest.

My old single core chugged a ton on TF2 but ran just fine with 50 FPS on medium settings on L4D2.

Nadril, your Bill's Sport Shine should fetch a high price as far as vintage items go. The hatless items were considered junk and so the majority were crafted away. Ever since older items became vintage they've sky-rocketed in value due to their rarity alone.

Well, shoot, the Schema update wasn't today. Too bad, i really wanted to try out Reserve Shooter Pyro without installing beta. Also, some of the items are awesome, particulary Pyro's Conscience.

I think this was out last week, I remember getting depressed about not seeing my handbag there XD Oh, and SPUF saying "OHEMGEE UPDATE THURSDAY" then Thursday came, and nothing. Then yesterday's Thursday came and again nothing.

 

I remember when the Cremator's Conscience was released on GameBanana. I thought it was so adorablee, I'm glad it got in game. I know that the Spy Disguised Hat is a Top Hat with a Spy's Disguised Mask on it, the mask has a Backbiter's Billycock on it. It looks pretty lulzy XD Seems that a lot of the work I saw being made on Facepunch made it in.

 

Oh, and Tim, I highly doubt Max's, Bill's and Bud's will ever become craftable, since they make up 5/10's of the economy.
