Lol. A long time ago, when I were still playing Tibia I played a girls charakter for myself. It was fun, to beg off things and such, because it really worked. I also had some sort of 'boyfriend' who defended me and gave me lots of food, I could train with.. Good 'ol days.. Haha.

I respect you for maskign this topic, In response to this topic I'd like to say that playing on a a girl when really a dude is ok, UNLESS you trick people into believeing your a female and form a "relationship" with someone simply to extract money from them.

I personally have no problem with guys playing girl characters (a couple of my good friends have girl characters, and they're certainly not girls) as long as they don't try to actually act like a girl. Having a girl char and actually acting like a girl are two way different things. And those that just have a girl char to try and get free stuff, are complete losers who should find themselves a hobby, and maybe some masculinity while they're at it.

I think it has a lot to do with people thinking that they will get free stuff from their "Boyfriends".

 

They ask to be their "gf" and then they ask for armor, and presents and jewelry. It's a kind of scam that people who are just immature or just don't really care fall for. That's probably already been mentioned in posts above me, but I didn't read any replies so... :thumbsup:

It's free expression- in some cases. For myself, I like to change tandom between male and female, mainly to see how my armors/setups look from the different perspective, and to keep myself from becoming terribly bored or staring a muscular male character slaying equally muscular monsters.. Is it a crime to try and make the ogre pit a little more pretty?

 

 

 

Some people are sicko's who try to exploit the female form (which is wrong, but girls do it themselves, and willingly, its human nature to seek advantages, and guys are really stupid, and girls have.. chests..)

 

 

 

Personally, I find it funny how many people openly seek a female character to bond with- asking to be bf/gf, giving freebies WITHOUT BEING ASKED to try and gain favor. I've experience such cases while woodcutting some years ago- I recieved about 1.2 mill in gifts (white mystic robes, dragon skirt etc), the funny part was i had my public chat OFF.

For me, its nothing more than a want for change, and the fact that MOST everything seems to look better on a female character... carrying out my fantasies of adrenaline infused bravado and heroic feats are better suited to me messing around in real life rather than stretching my provocative pixelated body for anti-social 11-13 year olds who long for intimacy.

Don't make assumptions like that. I have four people on my friends list that are girls. How do I know this? One, three of them use Tip.It, and two, there typing style is different.

Exactly. To add to what Laila said- bumping is fine as long as it contributes. What isn't fine, however, is a string of twenty people pointing out the obvious bump afterwards. If it is an erroneous bump, just report it, and if it has been already, just don't reply.

News flash: it works. One way or another, when you meet someone, you picture them in your mind roughly, either you assume the character is indeed female, or a male with a female char, no tweener on this one. If I'm going to have someone as a friend, I'll ask them if they are male/female, but no surprises there: 90% of the time the girl character is a boy inrl.

 

 

 

There are girls in the game, just in an abysmal amount, there was a poll that got hidden on the Jagex website, it showed that most players were little kids and that 90% of players were male. Those who were there back when they made that poll will testify. If you're going to assume something, assume whatever has the most likely odds: 90% boy versus 10% girls makes it a no brainer: girl characters are mostly boys.

 

 

 

But yeah, girls type differently and have a different attitude than boys, you can spot a real girl if you stay somewhere for a while. Though sometimes it's hard to tell. But if you're just meeting someone 30 seconds, assume the female char is male inrl, the odds point towards that, thinking all girl chars are real girls is just stupid.
