June 30, 200917 yr You are being too clingy. Try to relax a little dude. I wouldn't call it clingy. He seems like he just wants attention from his girlfriend and affirmation that she likes him. I had something similar with my now current girlfriend. We had been dating for 4 months, and the last 2-3 weeks of that another guy kept flirting with her. She'd tell me she wouldn't leave me for him, etc. As time went on and on, she would tlak to me less, say very little, and many days, even when we were together, we'd say pretty much nothing. I felt neglected because when I'd say something the response would be something like 'mm' 'yeah' 'thats true'. She eventually broke up with me for the other guy. Turns out that she regretted that, and we had a good long talk about pretty much everything. How we felt, how I felt, how she treated me, so on so forth and now we're back together and we just had our 7 month anniversary. Things are going much better because we're able to talk about things more and respect the others feelings. What I'm getting to is that you need to talk to her about how you're feeling. If she won't listen, break up with her on the spot. It's ridiculous for her to expect her to be your sole focus but she goes and lies to you to hang out with other men (something I'd be horribly upset about). That alone would make me consider breaking up with her. If you can't trust the other person you're dating, things will be much more difficult. You may think you 'love her', but if she isn't giving you what you need in a relationship, then you're better off without her. I present to you men, His Imperial Majesty Emperor Norton I. What a guy.
June 30, 200917 yr So last saturday I was extremely tired and fell asleep while texting my girlfriend. After I fell asleep I received a text from my girlfriend saying Im sneaking out. Later the next day I asked her who did she sneak out with and where. She said people and outside. I asked what people and she decided that it wasn't important enough to tell me. She then went on about why does it matter so much and so on. Earlier in our relationship we agreed to tell each other everything. She never did tell me and I'm afraid to bring it up again. Why wouldn't she tell me?

June 30, 200917 yr So... My girlfriend and I broke up after 6 months. She isn't talking to me, because she's trying to force herself to get over me, and her friends still say she likes me. So, I tried winning her back, fail. So, I was like, I'll move on; but I miss talking to her, we were amazing friends for a year before we started dating, and losing that is killing me. I don't know how to forge a friendship with her, because she keeps thinking I'm trying to win her back. My Gamercard | Click for Blog | Mining Guide | Illumination

June 30, 200917 yr [Cabbage] I was talking to her on msn. And she still loves me, and she wants to get back together with me, but thinks she doesn't. (these are her own words btw). She asked to read some of my poetry, and it's all either weird tormented stuff, or really romantic. Well, I showed her my signature, and she was like it's to evil. :P Anyway, I sent her a poem, that was inspired by all the romantic ventures we did, and this was the conversation that followed Bekah said: stop Maximilian says: stop what? then she went offline... :/ it seems that she's completely torn, mentally and then emotionally. :( My Gamercard | Click for Blog | Mining Guide | Illumination
June 30, 200917 yr I've got a wee little problem, nothing too major. I don't think that my mates girlfriend is being faithful to him. Just some info first. Back about a few months ago, I went out with her, before random stuff that is irrelevant happened, and we broke up. I later found out she was a lying tart that hops from one guy to another. My mate had met her when we were going out, and then a couple of weeks ago, he asked her out. Of course, she said yes. Know, she told him a few days ago, that she wanted nothing to do with me, and wanted me out of her life. However, she constantly texts me, and we actually really good friends. Didn't really think much of, until today. She sent me a text, saying that she was cold, and she said she was going to have a shower, and I replied, "Yeah, it is pretty cold, good idea". Next text, I get something along the lines of: "If you joined me I wouldn't be cold and we would be doing something if you join me". Every man and his dog could tell what she meant. I told her that I'd rather not, as I didn't want to get my head bashed in by him. She replied, "you know you won't too, I wouldn't tell". How can I put this to my mate, without loosing either of them as friends? My mate is a person that is quite stubborn, and can be childish. Cheers if you can help  You could set her up in a classic sit-com situation where he catches her in the act of soing so - or much simpler: show him the texts if you're that worried. Honestly you should let it be unless you get solid proof though. It kind of sucks to here that your girl isn't faithful. No matter who is telling you. Hey guys, first off thanks to everyone who helps out here. I never knew when I'd need it but I need it now. I will have been with my girlfriend for 6 months on Wednesday. We meet up a lot; we're not just a couple but we're also best friends. I love her to pieces but I just don't feel like she treats me right. This is the latest example: Yesterday, I asked if she wanted to meet up today - we hadn't met up much all week because we were away. She said she couldn't because she "wasn't allowed". I said fine, and I was texting her in the morning until about 12 when she turned her phone off. I just thought she'd ran out of battery but I was still wondering why she wasn't charging it; she was home, after all. I went to the park with some mates to play football when I see her walk into the park, linking arms, with a 2-years-older guy, who she talks about quite a lot. Shocked, I confront her, and she says that her mum let her out in the end. I asked about her phone, she'd turned it off "because people were prank calling her". I asked why she hadn't told me she was allowed out, and she said "cos I wanted to meet up with my other mates" and then I get slagged off for being controlling and about how she won't go out with me if I carry on. Now, I don't see what I've done wrong here, and yet I'm being made to feel bad. She changes around other people, and even calls me clingy if I hug her when her friends are around; she even asked me not to hug her when my friends were around. She always thinks that I'm going to cheat on her whenever I even talk to another girl, but I'd never dream of doing that. I love her. I just don't feel like she respects how I feel; she tells me not to talk to people, yet when I tell her I don't like one of her friends she goes ballistic. I'd do anything for her and I've done some pretty crazy things to make her smile... I even got up at 5:30 once to take the 1-and-a-half-hour bus ride to her bus stop just so I can take it the same way back with her. Don't get me wrong, I love her but only when we're alone; other people change her into someone I don't like. I've tried every approach I can think of: I talk to her face to face (did that today, she laughed at me cos I was getting quite upset and she walked off), a sweet text saying I love her but I'm not sure if she loves me (see, they never work cos it always happens again) and even leaving it a while makes matters worse because then I'm apparently "bringing up the past". I just can't win, and all I want is to feel like she loves me back, cos I'm always making the effort and sometimes I just feel like this love is unrequited. I'm never even hugged anymore, I have to ask for them. Basically, am I being really selfish or do I have a right to feel a bit unloved? And what can I do about it? *sigh* Oh you remind me so much of myself, not all that long ago. You're going to have to ask yourself 3 questions: 1. Do you love her. Really? 2. Does she love you the same way? 3. Are you truly happy with the relationship you are in? If you are not pleased with evven one of the answers to these questions - End it before it gets worse. If I were you, I'd get out before she really starts walking on you. It's humiliating, degrading, and heart wrenching. I don't wish for you to experience that. I'm also concerned with the fact that you consider her your best friend. There was once a frequent user (an advisor, not a advise seeker) who was obsessed with the dreaded "friend zone" (the useranme escapes me, but vets of this thread may remember them). Anywho, their major argument that was in most divorce courts the phrase "he/she wasn't just my lover; they were my best friend" was uttered. So hearing you mention such a relationship frightens me with the memory of the truth in the quote. Be wary friend. But for the moment - Watch yourself on the controlling aspect. Don't act controlling. No one likes that. So last saturday I was extremely tired and fell asleep while texting my girlfriend. Don't sweat it. Insecurity is not a good feature on a mate. She may or may not have done something you would disapprove of. But honestly, she probably didn't if you have a good healthy relationship. I'd be worried in your position, but try to keep your cool. Believe her for now, but you may want to watch out for more strrange behavior. Report it here if a larger problem ensues from this. We'll be here to help ;) So... My girlfriend and I broke up after 6 months. She isn't talking to me, because she's trying to force herself to get over me, and her friends still say she likes me. I don't know how to forge a friendship with her, because she keeps thinking I'm trying to win her back. It's valiant of you to try to retake her friendship without trying to get her back. If you think you can handle it, you're going to have to wait a while. Atleast until she lets her guard down. When she "gets over you" (which you should have no problem with, because you are trying to be her friend) you can then move in and do some repair work between the two of you. I hope those are your intentions anyway. Since she still loves you and what not, there's a chance you could win her back. But don't hold you're breath. Welcome to the epitome of confusion. Why wouldn't she tell me? A.) She was merely offended that you asked about it, because she just took it as a way of implying that you don't trust her. or B.) She did something bad that she doesn't want you to know about. It really depends on how well you know her. If she really does care about you and is trustworthy, A. If not... well, you know. -.-
