October 7, 200916 yr Sister's best friend? Personally I would stay away from her. You'll probably break up, and likely your sister will lose her best friend. But I'm pretty sure you hate your sister anyways, so just go for the cool older brother thing. Odds are she thinks you're cute right now anyways. Actually, Mage seems to get on pretty well with his sister. Anyway, as I told you, go for it. If I'm remembering right, she's shown some interest in you, correct? And if it bothers you, ask what your sister thinks first. If you don't hate your sibling a little you aren't siblings. October 7, 200916 yr Anyone wanna give me some advice on what to do? So I met this girl a couple of weeks ago, we started hanging out and talking everyday, and we even have a couple classes together. We hang out everyday and we talk every night, and I really like her but I really don't know for sure if she likes me. She drops hints a lot that she likes me but she always hangs out with other guys and flirts with them when we're hanging out. Last night we were talking and she told me about "some guy" that she really likes, she wants to tell him that she likes him but she doesn't want to ruin their friendship. I ask some questions and I could fit the description but again I'm not so sure if it is me that she's talking about. Her birthday is coming up this weekend and I want to tell her how I feel but I don't know if I should. Any advice on how to handle this?
October 7, 200916 yr She digs you, I bet. You gotta jump on the opportunity. You have to realize that sometimes the coolest and most fun people flirt with everyone. I certainly do, and lately I've decided to start escalating it even more because I've noticed some hilarious results at school. I don't really enjoy dating girls I go to school with, but that's a whole other story. It's just fun. You should try it sometime. And never, even "tell a girl how you feel" unless you've been dating for a while. And even then, don't pour your heart out all sappily. Life isn't a Meg Ryan movie. If anything, try to make it a Clint Eastwood. Simple things to make her feel good are great, like a simple, cool "You really are a cool girl" or something along those lines to let her know you dig her but you aren't obsessed with her. I know two girls that I'm pretty much positive are into me, but I really just don't want to. One of them is pretty cool, and she's hot as hell, but I'm known her for a while and she gets on my nerves sometimes :/ Then the other girl's really cool, not much to look at, but really fun to be around, I'm just not really attracted to her. Oh well. I should probably try to actually have a "girlfriend" sometime. .... Naaaah. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

October 8, 200916 yr Lent has a point about flirting. Sometimes I hate myself for flirting too much though, since I do it without even meaning to, apparently, and sometimes it hurts people if I'm not really that interested in them. Oh well. She might be talking about you with the liking someone. I used to do that occasionally when I was talking to someone I like, but most guys don't take hints too well, so I stopped doing that once I realized that it just confused them. Reb has a point too, unless she asks you out, which isn't too likely, you'll end up just being friends. Hegemony-Spain

October 8, 200916 yr Just to go slightly off topic, I thought women liked young guys? After being so desperate I looked at one of those online dating sites, 80% of women at the age of 18-19 all wanted guys over the age of 22. Sheesh, I thought it was hard enough getting a girl back then but this? no wonder some of us are stuck single until were 30 and missing a lifetime of stuff. to unspam: @Craiglowery, I say go for it. you'll never know. Popoto.~<3
October 8, 200916 yr Women around 18-19 usually like dating guys their age or a little bit older, occasionally a lot older. They generally like a little older at all ages. Girls don't date younger guys a lot, though. Until this societal obsession with cougars came along, that is. Maybe you should set your sights higher, eh? catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
October 8, 200916 yr Ergh. It feels weird dating someone who would be over 21, especially when i'm an unemployed college student. :| Popoto.~<3

That's quite a cowardly approach, though, and if I were that girl, I'd probably say no just to be contrary and to punish the guy for being a coward. Then again, not every woman is as difficult as I am, so it might work.

October 9, 200916 yr I had the worst test thrown at me last night at a pub. I was flirting with a bartender, when another female barkeep comes up and tells me I look too young to be in a bar. I could handle that, and replied with something like 'yeah I'm 13, gotta love my fake id.' That would have worked most of the time, but she wasn't finished and came back with 'you look 5.' Boom. I had nothing. Came up with I will look 20 when I'm 80 while she will look like a catchers mitt about 10 seconds later. You always think of the best things to say when it's too late :( Girls that get hit on a lot (bartenders for example) will tend to test more often, and more aggressively. They aren't [bleep]es, they just have a '[bleep] shield' to fend off all the low value guys who can't handle it. Once you start passing them they are usually really nice people.

October 10, 200916 yr Me again. Anyways I was thinking I wouldn't ask anyone to homecoming, but a friend of mine told me that I should go with this girl to homecoming. I really like her, she seems a bit out of my league tbh, but I guess aim high :P He said he was talking with her about going with me. We hang out quite a lot just as friends, but lately she's been laughing at a lot of stuff I've said and had started flirting with me during class. What should I do. And how should one 'ask somebody out' to homecoming :P Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again

October 10, 200916 yr I'm sort of scared in relationships because i was talking to this one girl in seventh grade and she told my mom we were moving too fast, even though I only talked to her a couple times about homework and stuff  Now i'm scared of getting rejected. I guess just go for it. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
