November 4, 201015 yr Not quite dinner, but if she gets a turkey leg it's kind of the same thing.I think she would rather sit at a table for a meal. Matt: You want that eh? November 4, 201015 yr Not quite dinner, but if she gets a turkey leg it's kind of the same thing.I think she would rather sit at a table for a meal.As do I. Don't start doing the less traditional stuff until you're sure she enjoys it - imagine if she didn't like football.
November 4, 201015 yr I don't like dinner dates as first dates. Alas! what can I do. - No on the football game - Make it an interesting place (tends to be cheaper, too) - Know something about the venue - Order food that may be out of your comfort zone just a little (that you think you'll still like) - Look really good - Make great conversation; I know you can catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
November 5, 201015 yr The point is, though, she said dinner. I'd seen somewhere, possibly here and possibly some stupid romantic-comedy movie that "lunch" is friend-zone territory but "dinner" is the opposite. Is this a generally accepted thing? No, but the fact that she asked to hang out with you is promising. I think dinner dates are terrible, but if she asked you and you want to do it then go for it. Just don't pay for her. Suggesting something better would be more alpha, just a thought. i asked her to a movie and she said yes, but i didnt say it asthough it was a date, but im not sure if shes more likely to see it as a friends thing or just us on a date from what ive said, IOIs and such, is she likely to see it as a date or not Don't think of the event itself as a huge deal. It's how you interact with her. If you're escalating touching (link in my sig) and flirting with her (post in my blog) while she helps you shop for your grandma's birthday present, it's going to mean more (sexual relationship wise) then going on a dinner date and talking about your boring week. I found an interesting read http://roissy.wordpress.com/2009/08/14/relationship-game-week-a-readers-journey/ About how 'game' can help long term relationships.
November 5, 201015 yr http://roissy.wordpr...eaders-journey/ link'd dude's wife was a major [bleep]. And she gained 40 lbs. Divorce would have been more alpha. November 5, 201015 yr She was his wife for 7 years, plus she would have gotten half his stuff. It would be a shame if it ended in divorce. Plus that's just the first story of many.
November 5, 201015 yr Not quite dinner, but if she gets a turkey leg it's kind of the same thing.I think she would rather sit at a table for a meal. That was a joke, really. And she did want to sit with me at the game, but then I found out I don't get reception in the stadium so we couldn't coordinate (Yes, I could've used someone else's phone but I didn't think of that until later). Oh well, if I don't think of anything today, the ball's tomorrow night and that's kinda the whole point of me asking her to the ball in the first place. Command the Murderous Chalices! November 6, 201015 yr Simmer? What? If you like her then keep escalating physically (link in my sig), if you kissed and don't do it again soon it's more likely to be something that 'just happened' and doesn't lead anywhere. Food dates are lame imo, pick something fun and original, but pick something and hang with her.
November 6, 201015 yr The amount of times you refer to your sig is amazing. Tips on a good movie to watch with the girlfriend?
November 6, 201015 yr The amount of times you refer to your sig is amazing. Tips on a good movie to watch with the girlfriend? Girls love kids, pick a movie about kids. Like the ones in my sig.
November 6, 201015 yr The amount of times you refer to your sig is amazing. Tips on a good movie to watch with the girlfriend? Girls love kids, pick a movie about kids. Like the ones in my sig. Let me rephrase that. What's a good movie which we won't really need to watch, but have there in case one comes home?
November 7, 201015 yr Classic comedies that are entertaining, but everyone has seen like 10 times so it's not a big deal if they get distracted. Anger management, super bad, 40 year old virgin etc
November 7, 201015 yr Simmer? What? My reaction exactly. Never let things "simmer". Attraction loses physical capacity when things "simmer". I say keep it up with the random romantic making out. No names. No numbers. Just...blind attraction. niiiiiice Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. November 7, 201015 yr The ball went pretty well. I had fun,she had fun. Then afterwards we had a group of us and two of my buds plus their dates, we went and changed out of uniform and decided to go somewhere. We get back on campus and we're walking, when she says she's tired and wants to head back. So I walk her back while everyone else heads for a coffee shop, we get to her dorm, she thanks me for taking her, gives me a hug and that was that. Command the Murderous Chalices! November 7, 201015 yr Okay, before you all become big ugly trolls about me not following what you said.. this is advice, doesn't mean I have to follow it I was just asking for a bit of help. Though this time I probably will follow it... What do you buy a girl for Christmas, yes a whole 1 month 18 days away with the instructions of: "i want something that will remind me of you."

I believe this thread remembers my story of how I "got away" with getting a girl cheese whiz as a gift before. It's meaning that counts, not the material itself. November 8, 201015 yr It's meaning that counts, not the material itself. I agree. If you two share any inside-jokes or memes, that would be a good starting point. My dorkiness has always been the trademark that intrigued my girlfriend, and it's a great basis for a gift idea.

November 9, 201015 yr So, the lady has a cabin in Lake Tahoe. We've both taken a few days off of work to go up there, roughly three days of being alone, and then another group of friends (a potential couple) is showing up to stay with us for the last two days. So five days total. How do double dates work? That's what Jennifer wants to do with them, even though we're already dating. So yeah, advice por favor.
