July 22, 200817 yr I don't enjoy it simply because I don't know how to level it and make money, thus it's my lowest skill. Same with all of my lower skills - i just don't know methods to raise them. I've never even truely farmed except for the garden of tranquility quest, I got to level 30 using Sorceress' Garden. This is pretty much me too lol... I tried to farm and I farmed potatoes... but it was so slow and all i got were a few potatoes in the end. I dont understand how you can get high in the skill. Ive been over the guide a million times because I really want to like it because when I first heard about it, i thought Oh cool!!! This is neat! and the rewards you can get like herbs and neat items like that are nice, but I just cant get into it like some of my other skills. Maybe if I start planting trees and herbs it will get better...
July 22, 200817 yr When i frist became a member, that was the skill i told my self that i was not going to work on. But i have grown to like it. I think the reason why no one liked it was becasue they did not wanto put so much into a skill where you can fail and not get any xp at all... thats what i think though. -Haseo [hide=Quotes]Albel/JustinAlbel doesn't say anything anymore, just comes in, leaves an arrow and vanishes into the night :(Probablypractising some euphoniumYou nearly had me fooled, you fooler youEuphonium/10.9/10. Well, now we know. The reason farming is so mis-judged is that people haven't tried it yet. :P It's not really surprising to me, tbh. More than once I've mentioned in clan chat that farming is a good moneymaker, and been PM'ed by someone asking for tips on how to farm because they don't really get it. I've seen the same thing with hunter, and even summoning despite that the quest to unlock it is supposed to be a tutorial for it. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
July 22, 200817 yr I never got into farming either, and I must of planted less then 10 plants the whole time I have played, yet I have level 42 farming...although I suppose quests and Tears of Guthix helps.
July 22, 200817 yr yes I will always hate farming because of the disease system.. runescape is based on simplicity and when you add skills like farming its too much.
July 24, 200817 yr yes I will always hate farming because of the disease system.. runescape is based on simplicity and when you add skills like farming its too much. yah it would almost complete the skill if there was a no disease level like there is a no burn in cooking and a one strike in mining.
July 24, 200817 yr its hated because its a boring goddamned skill. Boring? If the skills were movies, fletching would be an old silent film, fishing would be a documentary about the French Revolution, and farming would be half a dozen explosion-packed action flicks playing at the same time. Seriously, farming has got to be the least boring skill out of all 24, because it's the only one that you can train without staring at a computer screen for hours on end. Likewise, I don't know if you've ever tried actually growing anything. 4 hours? *yawn* Well, it's pretty late; I should be getting to sleep...might as well do a farming run before I turn in... :-w Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
July 24, 200817 yr lol troacctid ive never raised farming by actually planting anything, just by lamps and tears of guthix. i just assumed most things that give good xp take a few hours to grow.

Well then there you are. You've never even tried it, so you obviously have no idea how it ranks on the fun-o-meter. Now if you'll excuse me, I've just finished my run, so *troacctid has logged out* ;) Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
July 24, 200817 yr well ive heard from friends how it takes a while to grow some plants, especially trees i think. either way i forgot what we were debating. time for sleep.
July 24, 200817 yr I'm kinda new to members (only 2 weeks).I didnt it trained at the start, cuz i heard it's boring, hard, long skill. But i did tears of guthix got 3 farming bought some seeds and now i just love farming :D and it was kinda easy after about 10 days 50 farming :P
July 24, 200817 yr What's with everyone saying it's so Slow? It became my highest skill rather quickly when I worked on it and it gave me a good influx of cash. (I was not a high level player) I find it easy...though my leveling has stunted since I decided to use it for money making. (60-70k in 20-30 mins) I am nice. . .

I do that. I do too. I get home, check my mail, log in, do a quick round, log out, go for a drink, eat or watch a film, log back in and harvest. If I then feel like playing a bit more before I go to bed, I do. If I don't, I do another quick round and turn in. And believe me, I enjoy it, seeing my inventory fill up with nice herbs for no effort at all.
July 24, 200817 yr I hate it because it takes too long :P since I only play 2hours a day I can't really farm much :P
July 24, 200817 yr I really enjoy farming. It's probably one of my favourite skills along with herblore.
July 24, 200817 yr I hate it because it takes too long :P since I only play 2hours a day I can't really farm much :P Farming is actually a very popular skill with those who don't play much, just because it gives good results with minimal effort... most of the growing happens when you are not playing.
July 24, 200817 yr yes I will always hate farming because of the disease system.. runescape is based on simplicity and when you add skills like farming its too much. I agree, plants in my garden don't die when I didn't watch over them for 35 minutes. -.-
July 24, 200817 yr I don't like farming just because I hate teleporting to the same spot everyday to collect my herbs, if it was easier for me (yes i'm lazy and proud of it  ) i'd probably like it more, but travelling many times bores me so I just leave it :D it's very profitable, I guess I just think it's too repetitive, I dunno :-# don't hate me it's just an opinion

Yup, I also do that. : I love Farming, it's probably my favourite skill; it allows me to do other things in the mean time, and helps with Herblore/cash. :D Also, for it being so mis-judged I think is because of it's time, and probably traveling around to every location for some lazy people :P , but I don't mind, I love Farming
