The newest Doves album is pretty good, Kingdom of Rust. I also recommend the newest Decemberists CD too. Between those two CDs I've probably listened to them the most this week. Atleast twice a day.. I've been working on a screenplay all week so I haven't got out much...

Stevepole, give Andrew Bird's Apocrypha a listen.

I like powerviolence, noise-rock, female-voiced indie, and chipbreaks.

Show me something good, tip.it

I've come to the conclusion that if a tree falls in a forest and nobody is around to hear it, it makes a sound, but it doesn't matter.

Well, going by that, try Aa. They are a pretty good noise-rock band (i think they're noise-rock. Not too familiar with the genre).

Iron and Wine.

Ps. Even though I like Twilight and it was the first time I heard Flightless Bird, American Mouth I had been listening to them for a while and I appreciate all of Sam's songs.

Edit: Apologies for sounding snobby...

Sonic Youth: A noise-rock band started in the 80's and they are still making music (album 16? is coming out soon), they are currently my favorite band.

They never seem to get boring no matter how many times I listen to them, and they have changed their style countless times, so there is something for everyone.

A nice softer song of theirs.

And if you like it a bit faster:

Silver Rocket:

(They have two singers: A guy and a girl, they play off each other really well.)

I'm always up for a good chat, feel free to pm.

Pixies, but you've probably know them already (Doolittle/Surfer Rosa is where to start. Their best of "Wave of Mutilation" is good as well).

If you already heard them: Throwing Muses. In a Doghouse is fantastic.

Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!

Audioslave (may be a bit too mainstream, but Tom Morello and Chris Cornell were in it)

Perhaps try listening to the Smiths? I just acquired The Queen is Dead recently, and it is incredibly good. Besides, you probably should give them a listen sometime; they are an influence to all sorts of Indie bands.

since they r awesome and shud rule the world

You should try out Say Anything, probably one of the best pop-punk bands out there. Their double album In Defense of the Genre is especially good, probably my favorite pop-punk album aside from maybe some of Brand new's stuff (which is another band you should listen to, by the way).

Avenged sevenfold - Dear god

Eh, the only Avenged Sevenfold I like is their City of Evil album.

If you like them however, perhaps try

Foghat if you feel like getting some blues rock n' roll.

Nooooooooooooooooo.

[bleep] Chris Cornell, he sounds like Bill Cosby when he sings live. Rage Against the Machine minus the best part is

I recommend Gojira, particularity the album called The Link.

Give

a try. British semi-experimental indie rock. To be honest, after a while a lot of their songs sound the same, but they're ridiculously awesome nonetheless. As for an album to start with, go for their 2000 full-length debut, Internal Wrangler. Track 9, Distortions, is particularly amazing.
