Recently got my sgs back and full bandos armour (besides boots). Was very happy with myself... cost me around 100M and its the setup iv wanted forever. Problem is im getting flamed and nagged like crazy just for having a sgs... Not item lenders either, im getting called a noob or asked when im going to upgrade to a ags by random people. its like they care what i do with my money.

 

 

 

To be fair i have tired every godsword at one point and time besides zgs. Ags was fun, but it has little use for somone who slays and dont pk. I could care less about ags hits anyways... im already hitting constant 50s with slayer helm and pots on tasks. Why would i care to hit 20 more for the extra 18M?

 

 

 

Also, why do some godwars teams not take sgs's? I got kicked because i said i had a sgs and they basically blew me off. It wasen't a ags only team either....

 

 

 

Just seems theres a negative mentality on the sgs as there are other ways to heal.... sure guthans works fine, but thats not somthing id take to kq or zammy anyways. If i was to make that argument i could say dh hits as hard as a ags... except you got to have low hp. I look at the godswords specs as a convince, sure that dh or guthans will do the same thing, but you got to switch with guthans and it gets messy with dh unless your careful.

 

 

 

Sgs and bunyip will keep you at full health at about any place in the game besides bosses and a few exceptions. Why do so many people seem to hate it? Its so misunderstood its ridiculous.

 

 

 

As for the fact that sgs is droping, why would i care? I bought my sgs as i thought it was worth what i paid. I plan to keep it unless my plans drastically change otherwise. People seem to forget that all gwd items are going to drop alot yet, its all fairly new. A guy at barrows told me sgs was going to be stable for months at its current price. Why would it be? Theres tons coming into the game everyday.

Personally I like the idea of Sgs more than Ags. It's personal preference. People see video's on Youtube of players hitting extremely high and instantly label it as the best of the four. However, this isn't really the case.

 

Don't worry, you've made a perfectly good choice, and don't really know what to suggest about the flamers except use your ignore list!! :D

Imo, SGS is the best, I'd rather have it then an AGS.

Yes, noobs go on YT and never see SGS on Bh, purely because its special has no effect what-so-ever during your match, and its ALOT to risk for something that you can get better results with 30m. I do LOVE hitting high, but I wont sacriface all my def/attack bonuses for it!

People prefer higher hits rather than other bonuses. Just ignore them. If they do that to you, what functional conversation can you have with them anyway?

I think SGS is super cool. i can't afford one myself, or *any* GS for that matter, but if they were all the same price, i would certainly get an SGS. it's the most useful of the 4 in most occasions

This is exactly like my Toktz-xil-ak with a berserker necklace. Out of 15 people who have asked me about it, 10 have said ,"Why not use a d scimmy?", and 1 went so far as to say, "I bet you have 80 summoning since that's the best nooby weapon you can wield." I was on the 100+ boat in pc with 114 combat...SERIOUSLY, WHY DO I HAVE TO TRAIN LIKE SINGLE [cabbage] PERSON???? Can't I train with an obby mace or sword if I want to? Geeze, I'd actually want to have a Saradomin Godsword out of all of them.

 

Bandos is for pve 1v1 boss battles

 

Armadyl is for 1v1 pvp

 

Zamorak is for bounty hunter and FoG

Tbh my favorite GS spec is bandos, followed by saradomin, armadyl and zamorak. But tbh i'd still be happier than ever even with a ZGS :roll:

I think that in any situation other than pvp bandos is by far the worst since it has a spec thats about as useful as teh whips energy drain when fighting monsters. The Zammorak godsword's spec is just stupid unless your a warrior/mage or warrior/ranger hybrid since what good is freezing an enemy in place if you are still fighting in melee range? The Zammy GS, like bandos, has almost no advantage over the other GS's when not ina pvp situation (for zammy its really ristricted to CW).

 

 

 

RuneScape players seem to have some facination with strenth, never mind sacrificing defense and sometimes attack to further you max damage. What good is being able to do tons of damage if you need to carry an inventory full of food everytime you level a city to avoid dieing? What good is being able to do tons of damage if you can't even score hits consitantly. Dharoks scores big damage all the time, the AGS only does it when it has enough energy. The SGS will allow you to stay longer and so you will dish out far more damage per trip than an AGS simply because you trip is much longer because of your healing. It also allows you to carry more pots in place of food.

 

 

 

Perhaps if you are someplace close to a bank the AGS truly is better, but if you out in the absolute middel of nowhere and its a major jike to get back when you re-stock, that is when teh SGS is in its prime.

 

 

 

Your money, spen it how you will. Someday the people flaming you will realise that the people who really 'waste' money are the people who buy rares. Ofcourse once you have the money to buy a rare, you probably have plenty of money to waste so it really wouldn't matter.

Yes, Not to mention if all the specs were the same for some odd reason i like the sgs hilt the best, bust anyways sgs droped another 2M and you know what? I dont care one bit. Its made me 5M slaying and at godwars since i got it. Thanks for the opinions and responses.

Sgs is my dream gs, but first I have to go for bgs. It's the best wep for training in the whole game, and the hilt is excellent. :) We have the same dream setup.

Yea... really the swords are all the same your just paying for the spec and the hilt look... But sgs is the only sword that directly helps its user so i find it to be nice. :

I love the side of good, and I want the endurance of the spec.

 

Really want a sgs, I really want to get rid of this bgs.
