Today I received a phone call notifying me that one of my poems is going to be published in a book. Hooray! I get a free copy of the book. I might post the poem up after it's been published (it's not meant to be on the internet).

The last 20 minutes probably involved more human interaction than the last 5 years of my life :blink: I was walking home from karate (I do it that twice a week, no biggie), but I really wanted to play Runescape, so I started running. I have to pass by this lake, which I saw another group of people walking around. Being the introvert that I am, I froze (Not literally, I just looked straight ahead and held my arms straight out at my side :wall: ) I heard one of them say something, but I was so busy trying to not be noticed that I didn't realize he said "Dude, watch out for that stone" until I tripped over it >.> They laughed and just kept on walking... I'm not mad at them, I would've laughed too (I wasn't hurt). I decided to stop running.

 

I had to pass by this senior citizen center thing (Where the old people go to hang out) and there was a group of kids standing in a circle across the street there. One of them yelled "Is your name (my name)?" That completely caught me off guard and I literally stood there for what felt like hours. They said "Are you?" I said "Miguel... Filepez" (No idea why >.> I'm uber white). I proceeded to do a crazy person scream thing type thing and ran away with my hands flailing in the air. I honestly have no idea why the [bleep] I did that #-o

 

The worst part is that I consider these things significant events in my life

 

 

Well you're always asking how you can becomesocially normal, and here you had the perfect chance for some social interaction, and you go ahead do do that ^, whatever the hell the that was...Now you just look like a crazy person to them, and you wonder why people avoid? They probably think you're pretty queer if you behave like that.

 

You really need to start helping yourself.

There is nothing wrong with being an introvert. I myself am very shy, especially around people i don't know and my social life is perfectly normal.

There's a difference between being shy and acting like a [bleep]ing moron when you get the chance to be social with someone.

And right now you are acting like the Bleep-ing moron. Being mean to someone because they are shy really does not improve the matter. Some people are really paranoid and insecure. Psychology 101 my friend.

I understand that, it's just he [bleep]es and gets angry about it all the time, then complains about [bleep]ing up in an easy to handle situation like that. I was being too mean though.

Welll my comments are really just baes on his last post. I haven't really read any of his others but if it is as you say and he always complains about screwing up then it could be a way of attention seeking. I might be wrong.

You don't need to have studied a Psyc paper to understand that (Although I have). His problem is he constantly asks how he can become more normal and more social, and complains that people avoid him (and he doesn't know why). People have said to him, get out of the house more, join a club, get a job...

ABC, what you should have done when they called out out your name was answered them...

 

You could have been like "Yeah, why's that?"... They you could have gone on from there... I'm presuming they were just confirming who you were before tehy talking to you, not that they were going to make fun of you or something. If they were, then it would have been better to have ignored them rather than make a scene..

 

Oh and congratz Wongtong! I'd been keen to read your poem, what kind of poem was it?

I guarantee a lot of the stories he says are exxagerated, and doing stupid [cabbage] like calling himself miguel filipez gives him a little burst of attention, I know exactly what he's doing, I used to pull stuff like that in sixth grade.

There must be a lot of extra curricular activities you can take part at school where you can meet and interact with new people. Things like school production, debating, quiz teams, sports teams, peer mediation, theatre sports... Those are just a few example of things I did, or could have done at highschool. Even something like a school show, I'm not saying you have get up on stage, you can help out the back with props, building the set...

 

All these thing revolve around different groups of people (Eg: the Drama kids, Music kids, Nerd kids, Sporty kids), so surely there must be atleast one group that is open to you joining them.

I'm not really into writing/poetry but sometimes I get these random phrases and ideas in my head. I usually ignore them but sometimes I get bored and just write all the ideas and phrases I've banked up over time.

See I could never really do that with music, 15 minutes after I've come up with something, if I haven't written it down in some way I'll have forgotten it.

 

Today I think I got the best mark out of the whole class in geography. 87.5%, the average was 66%. I'm really proud, I think I wrote really well. :D

Oh, and I doubt 66% percent is a good average in other marking systems, but for the French it's not bad at all. They grade on 20, so I multiplied by 5 but I know that's not the exact formula they use to translates marks into percentages.

If anyone ever tells you that's not what writing is, then they are wrong. I'm no literary paragon, but almost everything I've ever written has developed from one sentence that popped into my head.

Pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassin's Creed II ($30 discount). Took advantage of a promotion a bank is having (going to recieve $150 for opening a chequing account and putting my direct deposit from work in there.) And only one more day of working then I get a week's vacation. Hell yeah.

The test was on borders, and right now we're working on food around the world and everything that touches. I like geography. My teacher's cool but not too cool too, it's perfect.

Today I didn't even leave my house, although I would have if anybody else did (besides for school/work). Well, I took the dog out once, but that only took a couple of minutes. I was online a quite a bit, and slept an awful lot.
