I for one welcome differing opinions. This thread is too much of the same thing. I think people who don't like anime have as much right to say they don't like it as the people who love it say that they do like it.

It's a discussion about anime, if a guy says he doesn't like it that doesn't instantly mean we have to jump on him and tell him to GTFO, he posted his opinion on the subject at hand like the thread is supposed to be for. Whether you like it or not this is a place to state your opinion and by fighting you can not at all change the opinion of a person, especially on the subject of anime, which is one that leads to really stupid fights. I can agree that a lot of anime does suck. I very rarely watch anime anymore, I watch Bleach and that's it. The last anime I watched fully was Neon genesis Evangelion. I'm an anime fan, sure, but I can still say that a lot of anime sucks, can't I? I can say that Naruto is crap right? This is a discussion on the subject of anime/manga, not the thread creating a huge anime fanclub. So, why don't we all accept the fact that there are bound to people who don't enjoy anime/manga as much, and why don't we calm down and not take offense at the opinion, and why don't we just get back to talking about manga/anime.

 

 

 

OK, now back on subject I am currently reading Bleach, tried to read the third arc of JoJo but found it way too stupid and am going to read ravages of time once I finish Bleach.

Lateyly I have been watching Zoids. I forgot how cool it was about 6 years ago. Love the show, all seasons on them :

I posted in a couple pages back and I don't think I have time for anime once school starts again lol. Only one that I recognize is Fairy Tail, another exciting shounen thing. What I've noticed from my experience this summer is that people start watching anime like Bleach, Naruto, etc and once they find out about other types of anime, they start getting sick of it and begin trolling them. like what I'm sorta doing with Bleach right now.

So I really really like the Melancholy of haruhi suzuymiya. I went on amazon and actually bought the first book. Funny how it's exactly the same as the anime, right down the narrative. (The book came first, so I guess they just followed the dialogue very thoroughly).

Each volume has a few different "stories" which aren't in chronological order, but it shouldn't affect the plot at all (That is if Haruhi had a plot to begin with)

the first book contains the episodes "the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya" parts 1-6. I.e. the first book is the essential plot from the first season and none of the other stuff.

I watched the first episode of Hokuto no Ken. Damn. Kenshiro kicks [wagon].

I have the first manga of Haruhi. It's pretty sweet, I like the art :)
