Makoto_the_Phoenix
Geez. Where do you guys get your anime from? Is it safe to ask, or is it against the rules? If you're in the States, there are a lot of legal options for you. Funimation has a service that goes through Hulu, and their own YouTube channel on which they allow whole series to be watched. Hulu also has a ton of content, too. Then there's Crunchyroll, which is where I'm getting nearly all of my anime. If you're not in the States, Crunchyroll might offer some shows, but otherwise, good luck! TTanT
I google "x episode 1 sub" and click through the results until I find one with decent quality. I highly doubt most of the anime streaming sites I use this way are legal, but I'm not TRYING to find illegal versions so....Another downside would be risk of shoddy sites injecting viruses, but I have a godly antivirus program so I can get away with living dangerously. Crunchyroll is probably the best as the ads aren't too bad (it's less ad time than you get from tv, and you can just browse a forum during them) and you don't need to worry about it being a 240p stream. Unfortunately Crunchyroll can't access every anime as it's a legal website, so sometimes you just have to make due. Neos_Matrix
Hm, I see. Its a shame I live in New Zealand (All the way at the bottom of the world; hardly anyone knows where New Zealand is. Or what it is) and sites like Funimation are quite restricted down here. I would use Toonami, but I would have to have to pay extra a month for it in the form of satellite. I did used to download heavily all sorts of anime and 'shared' them with my friends. But with the fear of being caught, file-sharing sites countering piracy, and lack of space on my hard drives, I've stopped so how. I've been managing my anime through random sites like Crunchyroll and AnimeFushigi which eats a bit of my bandwidth but just enough that I don't end up on dial up. Kaida23
I finished Death Note last night. All I can say is wow! A powerful ending to an awesome series. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. TTanT
^I legitimately cannot wait and am as we speak in the process of learning Japanese and selling my belongings for plane tickets to Japan. Started Cowboy Bebop today. I honestly never expected to enjoy an anime about space cowboys this much. Riku3220
We should pick a series or two that we'll all watch and discuss this season. Anyone interested? TTanT
^Sure. If they're good we can all gush over it, and if they end up sucking we can rail on them for that. Wait, almost everything on that list looked like a fan-service fest.... Is this just going to be the theme of this season...? Usotuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Mi-chan Totteoki no Uso looks potentially interesting though, although there is no chance in hell I will remember its name. Kaida23
Sounds good. Count me in. One request though: can it be something that's been dubbed in English? Also, would we watch a couple episodes at a time and them comment on it? Or just go at our own pace and comment the show in general? Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. We'd be watching each episode weekly as they air, and you can comment on it after you finish watching the latest episode.

The image comes out tiny so you can see them here: http://iblos3om.file...13-may-2013.jpgI'd love to. But we're not watching G-Maru. I don't know how I ended up reading that manga, much less finishing as much as I did, but yeah.(Somehow, I'm always picky with my anime, but with manga I'll just hit the 'surprise me' button and read whatever it is from start to finish (this is probably because my experiences with random anime were forever tainted from watching School Days as a kid, which I'll never fully recover from)) Edit: Oh, Girl Friends is on there too. I almost want to watch that, it was a fantastic romance, but I feel like it'll be much more fanservice-y than I remember. Again, no idea how I pick these things up. EditEdit: Wait, just how much of this stuff is shoujo-ai? 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Nexaduro
Editing for visibility and to avoid double posting; I knew something was up with that Spring 2013 chart. We've all been had, GG whoever in the far-flung reaches the internet made it up. Regrettably, TVTropes may actually be the most reliable resource in this situation. 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? TTanT
Wait so that was a fake list? On the one hand I'm disappointed since Mi-kun/Ma-chan looked legitimately good, but on the other I'm relieved that we should have a better lineup. Who knows maybe the gods will smile upon me and grant me that show anyways. From the TV Tropes page I vote for Susei No Gargantia because it's by the Urbutcher and thus is guaranteed to be brilliant. (The man followed up Madoka Magica with Fate/Zero so I'm just going to assume everything he writes is gold.) I'm also going to be watching To Aru Kagaku No Railgun S, but that's more of a guilty pleasure.... (Although if this season stays true to the manga it will be a lot better than the first was.) Star.
I don't know what it is with longer series but I drop them halfway through. I dropped Death Note, Vampire Knight, Fairy Tail, Bleach, Naruto... There's probably a few more but I don't remember every anime I've watched. Need to catch up on ma Shoujos though. Can you recommend any good Shoujo anime? I love girly manga, for some reason, and I get tired of watching people punch each other sometimes.I don't know what it is with longer series but I drop them halfway through. Azumanga Daioh is fun. I will be going on an anime kick now and exclusively watching slice of life stuff so I'll post more stuff as I watch it. Currently watching Tari Tari. Apparently I've seen this before but I can't remember when. I just remember bits of the story line. It's a nice time-passer as far as Shoujo goes but a bit of a bland plot. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢

TTanT
Updated anime list: http://i5.minus.com/iHDNIkZThzakM.png Either Urobuchi is trying to pull another bait and switch with us like he did with Madoka or he's been kidnapped and forced to work against his will. Gargantia's summary almost made it sound like a slice of life show.I can't see him expecting to fool anyone anymore, though.... I mean everyone who watches any anime at all knows what the Urobutcher does. The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. Youmu
I'm currently watching Lucky Star right now. It's not as serious as a lot of the other animes that I've watched so far, but I'm finding it really funny and I'm loving all of the references to other animes.Just wait till you get to the second half, you'll laugh your head off. --- What spring 2013 animes are you guys planning to watch? There aren't that many interesting titles for me asides from Oreimo season 2 and Railgun season 2. People have been saying Date a Live and Hataraku Maou-sama are pretty good for their first episodes, though. And also, JC staff's new work, Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko has a pretty good premise. TTanT
^I have hopes for Railgun Season 2, but am terrified it'll be as filled with useless fanservice and filler as the first series. If it is then I'll be dropping the series for sure, because this is probably the most engaging section of Railgun's plot so far. Also the Urobutcher's new anime, but I've already spammed this thread with enough of that. ...I just realized episode 1 had been fansubbed and is online now. Bye.
