Dudes, I seriously CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM. I really hope I have the money for when it comes out, I wanted it ASAP. And I heard Psychosocial and saw the music video for it, very hardcore.

 

 

 

Anyone excited about this? I sure am, they haven't released an album in a while. :o

I used to like them heaps, but I got over them pretty quick. I probably joined the bandwagon of people deciding they hate bands because they get too popular (which this thread will be full of). I'll probably check out the album when it comes out.

 

 

 

EDIT: Just watched the video.. can't say I'm a huge fan. It's a bit to thrashy for me. I'll be interested to hear if they have any less.. radio-friendly songs on the album, as they generally do.

I want to hate Slipknot, but since they serve as an entry point for many youngsters into the world of metal, I will refrain.

But yeah, I'm very excited for it especially after seeing them live. They played 3 songs off Vol. 3 and Psychosocial. Everything else was from Iowa or Self Titled. That makes me feel like they're going back to their more brutal roots with the new album.

Mushroomhead was first! They're better anyways. (Not that I dislike Slipknot... To an extent)

This album title is very ironic.

'All Hope is Gone' - oh yes that name is very spirit-lifting :roll:

When I heard the first song of this album, I felt hopeful.

 

 

 

But they had to ruin it by coming out with more mallcore trash.

I actually enjoyed Vol.3 more than I did Iowa or their self-titled.

 

All three are good albums but I think Vol.3 was more mature musically for them and I enjoyed it more than I did the other two.

 

 

 

I am looking forward to All Hope is Gone though. Lucky for me it comes out the day before my birthday so I got a free CD. :thumbsup:

I assume you've listened to "Psychosocial" and nothing else. If you have listened to "All Hope Is Gone" the song, you would probably retract that statement. But hey, let's just go ahead and judge an entire album on the radio single from it. Sounds good to me.

I actually quite like Pyschosocial, I'm not a huge fan of slipknot but its a pretty good song.

I've been waiting for this album too : I hope it's as good as Vol. 3 (I didn't really like most of the songs on Iowa and Slipknot).

The only thing metal about this is the drumming, and even that is generic.

I like both honestly. I'm not a huge fan of real heavy metal but I enjoy this.

Cradle of Filth are possibly the worst band ever. I am really ashamed that I used to like them. After you listen to real Black Metal you realise how bad Dani Filths vocals are and after listening to Death Metal you realise how unimaginative the riffs are.

Actually ive listened to most of the songs from the new album and theyre all still really soft. And even worse... its f*ckin CORE!!!
