Powman3
Dudes, I seriously CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM. I really hope I have the money for when it comes out, I wanted it ASAP. And I heard Psychosocial and saw the music video for it, very hardcore. Anyone excited about this? I sure am, they haven't released an album in a while. :o
Intriguing
I used to like them heaps, but I got over them pretty quick. I probably joined the bandwagon of people deciding they hate bands because they get too popular (which this thread will be full of). I'll probably check out the album when it comes out. EDIT: Just watched the video.. can't say I'm a huge fan. It's a bit to thrashy for me. I'll be interested to hear if they have any less.. radio-friendly songs on the album, as they generally do. Cool.
Poopingman
I want to hate Slipknot, but since they serve as an entry point for many youngsters into the world of metal, I will refrain. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
Range_This11
I made a topic about this (http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=746366) two months ago :D But hey, any Slipknot topic is worthy of reposting. But yeah, I'm very excited for it especially after seeing them live. They played 3 songs off Vol. 3 and Psychosocial. Everything else was from Iowa or Self Titled. That makes me feel like they're going back to their more brutal roots with the new album. Mushroomhead was first! They're better anyways. (Not that I dislike Slipknot... To an extent) ;>

Jernlov
When I heard the first song of this album, I felt hopeful. But they had to ruin it by coming out with more mallcore trash. Steam | Soup | Last.fm
Arch_Tyrant
I actually enjoyed Vol.3 more than I did Iowa or their self-titled. All three are good albums but I think Vol.3 was more mature musically for them and I enjoyed it more than I did the other two. I am looking forward to All Hope is Gone though. Lucky for me it comes out the day before my birthday so I got a free CD. Edit: Just found this, A 30 second clip of every song on the album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVsTYf7iMDE

Cyco_Reborn
3 words I picked out from the top few posts: Hardcore, Thrashy, Metal. Thats all the things that slipknot arent!!! The new albums still far too soft to interest me. Im sure every true Metalhead would agree with me saying Slipknot are absolute [Flourescent Lighting]. I assume you've listened to "Psychosocial" and nothing else. If you have listened to "All Hope Is Gone" the song, you would probably retract that statement. But hey, let's just go ahead and judge an entire album on the radio single from it. Sounds good to me. Ezz
I've been waiting for this album too : I hope it's as good as Vol. 3 (I didn't really like most of the songs on Iowa and Slipknot). Poopingman
The only thing metal about this is the drumming, and even that is generic. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....

Range_This11
It sounds pretty good so far. I missed when they played it at Hot Topic, so I guess I'll just have to buy it when it comes out. Powman3
Only listened to one song, but if it is all as good as that, then I am impressed. Which song did you listen to? I like both honestly. I'm not a huge fan of real heavy metal but I enjoy this. I also enjoy Corey Taylor's clean singing, he's got a voice. After you listen to real Black Metal you realise how bad Dani Filths vocals are and after listening to Death Metal you realise how unimaginative the riffs are.
