Keeping Yourself Entertained

Featured Replies

Hey, I'm just wondering how everyone here at Tip.it keeps themselves entertained during longer tasks in game

I'm talking about watching tv or watching youtube and whatnot, but I also want to know the unique things you do that most people don't do to keep entertained.

so post what you do and maybe you'll give someone else an idea

I watch tv and come to forums and go on aim and whatnot but something i've gotten more into recently was practicing drumming while killing dust devils for a d chain, just grab a pair of sticks and bang around your chair or office working on your fills and whatnot. My ultimate goal is going to be to get a rumble pad and a double bass pad and set it up while ill play so i can work on my drums as i play \'

so now its your turn, tell your ways of keeping yourself entertained!

The forums and youtube are probally the way i spend most of my time, i browse play and ebay sometimes or just organise my music in itunes when im really board, I listen to music most of the time aswell

outside the computer i read and play rs sometimes but if alot of clicking is required it gets teidious

loving the druming idea though  ,

Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,

I like to think I walk this line every day.

Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man.

You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.

a great website for music is pandora.com if you've ever heard of it, its intense you put in any band or any song and it'll come back with bands that sound like it, I love using it while I play so I can find new bands you'd like

Whilst getting 99 Cooking I managed to watch around 30 films, all of Red Dwarf, all of Heroes, Lost and Life on Mars.

That's how I manage longer tasks!

I also find forums a good way to kill time and give me something to do ;)

I listen music, MSN and sometimes I watch some movies.

Nice replies so far, I like the movie watching idea each one will get you through about 2 hours of play. I thought about trying to read but I hate looking up constantly from a book to have to do something like text or click or something

I have no intrest in helping "keyers" farm xp.

I listen to music, chat in my clan's IRC channel and at the weekend I keep open live commentary on the football.

I can't do much, that's why I get so bored easily. I wish this computer had a sound card... :(

I just listen to comedy podcasts or Radio 4 when doing tedious things that require constant watching.

If I don't need to watch as carefully, I just stick a random series of Peep Show in my Xbox and press play. ::'

Well, I actually don't mind. I don't own any headphones, and I don't like other people hearing what I listen to. :P

You don't really have a wide variety of choices of other things to do when you're smelting 11k iron ores or burying 2k dragon bones via ectofungus. Most of the time I don't really have much of a choice but to pay attention to these activites (Which gets boring fast).

I'll either listen to music or play some random game from mofunzone etc.

On the rare occasion theres a new Tip.It article that I can read.

Break the Walls down!

The best way to pass the time while training in my opinion is to talk to my friends on Runescape. Without them, I'd just be a lost little noob. <3:

Sometimes I make macrame bracelets out of hemp or friendship bracelets from embroidery floss, or whatever little crafty things I can think of

Watch tv / movies, youtube, tif, just surf.

Sometimes ill play my 360/wii if im doing something that doesn't require as much attention as fm or slaying bigger monsters :wall:

35b9enp.jpg

well when im not on tif i go to surfthechannel.com or watch-movies.net trust me best websites ever other than rs and tipit all movies and all tv shows avalible in flash form. they are a million times better than utube. sry bout listing websites tipit. i love you. <3:

i defy anyone to look at those and tell me they dont like.

i usally have three browsers open tipit, rs and one open watching peep show, top gear, kenny vs. spenny, or some movie that came out the day before. trust me, once u figure that out u wont be listening to music or watching fcc(bbc) dictated tv. oh and those of you who cant run rs hd, or watch movies, or who get white screened, try getting rid of mcafee and going norton. :-#

Usually I listen to ESPN radio but I did watch (half watching half just listening) seasons 2 and 3 of the Office recently.

britonlongbo.png

I will at times use hulu or fancast while playing the game.

They are just archived tv epiodes. The hulu player especially can scale to sit right next to the rs window so thta you don't have to take your eyes off the game much.

these forums, itunes and read a book

that or use msn and text on phone, depends if my mates are online :D

You only live twice. Once when you are born and once when you look death in the face.

Do not fear Death. Death is always at our side. When we show fear, it jumps at us faster than light. But, if we do not show fear, it casts its eye upon us gently and then guides us into infinity...

I'm fishing ATM and I'm keeping myself entertained by opening a browser half way so I can still see my Runescape screen. I'm currently reading TIF and Facebook, as well as listening to music.
