magekillr
I am 20 years old, currently with a 27 year old. I mean, her emotional attachment is far greater than my own, mostly because I am not ready to fully commit to a serious "emotional relationship" until I graduate college. It hasn't really interfered much, and I'm trying to encourage her to finish up her last year of school so she has a degree. The sex is great though. \
Rebdragon
The sex is great though. \ I feel like I should be pissed at you for needing to say that, but for some reason I'm not. Maybe 'cause it's a good argument :P . [is she in the same class as you? If so, why is she in school so late...?] [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. magekillr
Yeah she's in the same grade as me (just barely), she has 1-1.5 years to go. Um, it's funny you should ask that because she actually started college at 16  Basically she did 2 years from 16-18, then her mother started having financial issues, so she quit school to work to help out around the house with bills and stuff. Went from receptionist/secretary work to other odd-jobs. Her sister then had a baby, but she found out about this program from the government that would pay her to stay home and watch her niece, and she went to school at night to tackle another year. So, she has 1 year left...but she left home to join the Barack Obama campaign. That's where I met her. It's quite different, and I love it. Kenshinjapan
I think it depends on the stage. During junior high, where schools are seperated by age, someone dating someone a grade younger than them seems weird and disturbing. In high school, it's more common to see say a senior dating a junior or something, but it's still not very common. In adulthood, ages don't really matter as much. My dad has 5 years over my mom, i know married people with 10 year differences. I personally know someone that was engaged to a senior during their freshman year. I don't know if they're still together though. With all the drama associated with high school, I wouldn't doubt most of relationships are driven by angst and sex. Also people claim to "fall in love" with other people during their high school/junior high years, but usually that's after they've started dating for a few weeks... Seriously the teenage years are so hormone-driven, but there are certain exceptions. There are people who are "high school sweethearts" and they stay together for lifetime partnership, but that isn't very common. If you say that most high school relations are hormone driven and they aren't really in love, doesn't that just go against your earlier post of the 18 and 15 year old being in "true" love? Anyways, I believe that people should not date further than a year apart in high school. While in junior high, people shouldn't even be dating (and especially out of their grade level). When that kid moves up to the high school, how are they going to see each other? What? Have mommy drop you off at the mall for a movie date? YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE! When I went to ask her what was wrong and her friend told me the story i died laughing  .
MoeSzyslak
On a higher scale... my 23 year-old sister is dating a man in his 40's, and it's just... weird in my opinion. She's dated guys her age and i'm worried she got discouraged with them so she thinks dating someone older would be better. I mean, this guy's old enough to be her father, and I don't like it. But meh... she seems to like him.

Range_This11
I don't think there's any age limit really outside of high school. Just don't let people get you down if you date younger in high school. Also, don't break any laws. Tim
if their both older then 18 i dont mind a 10year gap at most. but when its a 16yo girl and a 28yo guy, it sickens me to the core (my ex girfriend left me for a oooold man) but another prob is while some girls, or guys, date older partners, hey leave behind a generation of men/woman. for example a guy and girl are 18, girl goes for a 30yo guy, 18yo guy has to wait till he's 22 before someone takes interest in him and that a younger girl yet again. i know from experiance i dont wanna wait till im 26 to be noticed. -.- Popoto.~<
jackattack
Well when I was a senior I went out with a freshmen. But she was only 3 years younger than me. She looked like a freshmen in college though. She already had a fake id and it worked every time. People used to give me a hard time until they actually saw her. I went to her prom this year and now she looks older than me. My carbon footprint is bigger than yours...and you know what they say about big feet. These are the times that try mens souls... Lionheart_0
My girlfriend is 1 year and 9 months younger then me. In my mind I treat her like an 18 year old. No difference (I'm 18). Although the fact that she is Asian... much shorter then me... and very cute... kinda leeds people to think she is much much more younger then me, and I get weird looks -.- Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Flu
It depends on age really. At 14, even 1 year is a big difference. Very true, but then again it depends how mature the person is, as well as their physical age. There's this girl who i like (and she likes me back) and she's 14. She thinks, looks and acts like 16+ though. and even though there might be a 2 year difference between us, i would still go out with her. As i say, it's not just about the physical age, but also the mental age. but then, if you're a happy couple age doesn't really have to matter :)

Range_This11
This last year I dated a Freshman as a Senior and she was...uh 2 years 10 months younger. I took a lot of heat for it, but in the end no one really cared. It's just people wanting to gossip about things or to make fun of you because of their lacking of a boyfriend or girlfriend.
