Pker attitude-Spreading like a disease?

Change the name - not 'pker' attitude, just 'jackass' attitude. These idiots have always been around (especially fight pits, I feel your pain there) but have multiplied as time went on. These are the kind of people that make PvP unpleasant, and to stereotype it as a 'pker' attitude is inaccurate. It's been in all PvP, not just pking.

 

 

 

These are also the kids I'd like to give a swift kick in the throat to IRL.

 

 

 

What makes them so desirable to you, yet you think that players don't have the right to attempt to keep their own items? Oh that's right, you just want the money to be handed to you on a silver plate, no work needed. Typical pker.

I dont know... I think "PK-ing" attitude is bad, but I also have two pure acct's lmao... but the other day I went BH-ing on my 20 defence pure (Slay Mistres) Some g mauler teleported up to me called me a def noob and then they started attacking me.... I dds-ed em and after that as soon as I exit bh there waiting for me spamming me calling me a no lifer! I mean like c'mon they shuldn't've attacked me if they were gonna die. But still the best type of acct in RS is the one who is played by the person who mind's their own bisuness and leaves people alone, its just that pure's these days have to put in "so much work and training" for ther 70 range/70strength/60attack since they cant trade stuff freely anymore. in my opinion its jsut their problem, but then about the skillers, there are some really koky skillers and that will get on anybody's nerve's. I dont hate anybody or anytype of acct on rs but i do dis-like a person with some attitude that dosn't mean i wont be nice around them and all.

Hahaha. Very funny. Start with a basic insult to my intelligence. Then call me a pker (have you seen my stats? Admittedly no 99's but i wouldn't call label myself as a pker or a skiller). Also my clan started as a skilling based one. Then you go and make a statement that skillers are more patient and intelligent.

How many people have you lured?

 

 

 

That takes intelligence and patience. Plus both Pkers and skillers get high stats so why is one more patient that the other?

 

 

 

 

 

C) I have no doubt that a lot of pkers are nice, but what I DO doubt is that the majority of them are nice. PvP itself has one objective: to kill other players, right? If so, that means that you are trying to seek any way possible to do this. A death generally isn't a very pleasurable experience for somebody, so I think it's more than fair to say that you are inflicting "pain" or at very least "discomfort" on somebody by pking them. With this logic (I hope you're still following me here), it's safe to say that the main goal of pking is to cause pain and/or discomfort to other players. I don't see where this has any hint of "honour" or even a hint of being "polite".

 

 

 

I'll explain what you have done here. You have said that pkers kill players. The player being killed can sometimes feel inflicted pain. Therefore the goal of a pker is to inflict pain. WRONG. Many players pk for fun. Many pk for profit. Many teams or single PKers follow honour rules. Your serious lack of experience in the next area is where you go wrong. ALOT of clans pked with honour. Alot of clans still war while being polite. Just because you get annoyed when you lose your precious pixels when dying doesn't mean that they're being rude. It just means that they were better/smarter than you and you feel sad about this.

WEll, I guess with them back expect Majority of them with that attitude, but overall I knew some Pker's with good attitudes. Fine people really, they have alot of fun Pking others together.

Ever since jagex mentioned the pvp update i've had my spot stolen at the ape atoll monkeys twice. This never happened before they mentioned it. One that really ticked me off was something like where some lvl 76 ran up, started bursting (wtf? if you're gonna burst do it at rock lobs), I said "?" he said "gfto noob". :| if you've been chinning you know how annoying it is to have to get the skeletons back up from 4, and people like this just piss me off. It's basically like people stealing your hunter spot + taking away 5-10k xp.

Tbh, I am a pker too, I DO go bh(and not just to pj as some individuals think), and I plan on going to the pking worlds as well.

I can usually have a nice talk with a skiller, or at abby demons, where people apologize even if they hit the demon just before you do-and there is a ton of spawns.

The minigames are mostly full of 110-115 kids who think they "own", and think they can trash talk at will.

 

The really high levels are mostly mature enough to fight normally.

 

 

 

Same example at dag kings, got crashed by 2 pkers I see alot in bh, and I asked him in bh later why did he crash, and he said he doesn't even go dks.

 

Some 2 110 people tried to steal my world when soloing, and when I got a kill even 1 vs 2, they immediately started luring. Of course, they both had the "pker" type of names, with l33t and I name I.

 

 

 

Probably because they lose lots in bh, then they simply -need- to get more pixels to risk, they get angry and think they can get their ego up by crashing and trash talking.

It's not a pkers attitude. I love pking, and I hate these rules. It's more of a 13 year old kid attitude. You have a 99 stat they dont, your automatically a no lifer. They taunt you and thrive off of your angry responses. Threads like these are what they are looking for, someone getting angry over a game. The whole pvp arena is part of the game in which two (or more) players can really see who is better. As long as they can back up their taunts with actions, then they are justified in calling you a worse player then them lol.

 

 

 

This happens in every game in which there is a competition attitude. Runescape has even more of these people because it is so popular, so cheap, and focused so much on a younger audience who can vent their problems that occur in real life that are so common around adolescence.

I have met lots of pkers before and after dec 10 and I must say that only 20% of them are the "good ones". They don't flame constantly and have some decency. The rest are just plain rotten. They keep def low and expect everyone to do that. They call you safer just because you ate an extra food to protect yourself from dying. They use the various kinds of noobs when they are losing.

In the wilderness days potions, food, armor, weapons, ect. were all at great prices. Without pkers skillers suffer, without skillers pkers suffer. It's like an equation. I think skillers can ignore a few insults and in return make a lot more money.

 

 

 

Reviving pking will revive profitable skilling. If jagex doesn't screw this up (oh please god), natures may rise 300gp, barrows may become an awesome way to make money again, and... godswords may go up in price!

Uh, don't get your hopes up too much: godswords are first class armor/weaponry... If anything I think the first class might slightly drop in favour of the 'second class' weaponry: a simple equatation of risk vs reward shows that on avarage you make more 'money' wielding second class weaponry. Sure you might die more often but you can allow yourself to loose 20 fights with a whip vs 1 fight with a bgs! Now with the avaraging of runescape I can safely say that (at least not taking eating etc into account) that if a bgs fights vs a whip + dds person the bgs will win most of the times: but not 20 times as much! So any clever pker would favour the whip over a bgs!

I met a small clan of pkers that I joined, they were pretty nice, not to mention hilarious. I was the supply-guy of the clan, getting everyone the pots and foods they needed at lower prices. Every single one of them got banned around the same time (I had nothing to do with it, and by "all of them" I mean the clan had only 6 people in it) for offensive language, but I still thought they were nice guys.

You do realise the whole reason they talk like that is to annoy you into following their rules that that you're easier to kill, right?

Pker: Safe noob

 

This will incline the non-pker to be less likely to safe eat, and seeing as he won't be as experienced in PKing as the other guy, will be more likely to undereat and die. The PKer gets free armour because the other guy doesn't want to be a noob.

 

 

 

People make these topics because they get upset for not following the PKer's rules, which is silly because it means you are winning, by not following their rules. The PKer just wants you to be easier to kill, it's that simple.

 

 

 

You can either follow the rules and not be flamed, but stand a larger chance of dying, or you can do what you want and expect to get flamed, in return for your safety. It really just depends how often you PK for which one you chose.
