I think he's comparing the extent of the events, as in this moment being just as glorious to an extreme as 9/11 was horrible.

Yes as said this is a beautiful moment in American history. It has truly shown how America, once split in two in war by racial issues, has changed over the past 100+ years regarding the issue of racism. Good job Obama. Good job. Huge moment in history. I'm so glad I am alive on this earth to witness this event.

What a quick election...I've been keeping track, I had a word document open the whole time, I was typing in times and all that as it happened. :

 

McCain's speech was good, especially under those circumstances. Though Palin looked like she was going to break down in tears...

He was the main hope. Such an good candidate. Not afraid to call Obama out on playing the race card and refrained from using it himself too. How does a 30 year army vet and war hero not get elected? Yes, McCain delivered a very gracious speech (I especially liked him acknowledging the history of the event), and I wouldn't have expected any less of him because he's a fundamentally decent human being. The same goes for Barack Obama.
