Zaaps1
Yew Seed + 10 Spines, about 80k for 7k or so exp. Magic Seed + 25 coconuts, about 150-180k for 13k or so exp. Calquat + 8 Poison Ivy Berries, 52-60k for 12k exp. Still worth it . Only idiots pay to look after magic and yew trees. But yes, they are still worth it. 1 in 9 trees die. So assuming paying for 9 trees makes 0/9 trees die we have this: Yews: 1 cactus spine: 2.5k, 10=25k. 25k x 9 = 225k. So you're paying 225k and 1 inventory space for a 60k seed? Magics: 1 coconut: 920gp, 25=23k. 23k x 9 = 207k. So you're paying 207k and 1 inventory space for a 165k seed? Calquats: 1 poison ivy berry: 280gp, 8=2.2k. 2.2k x 9 = 20k. So you're paying 20k for a now 53k-ish seed and rising. So it's only worth it to pay for Calquats! I didn't realize they used to be cheaper. I've been buying them for a while now  Gotta stop farming them :XD: ~It's Super Effective! oxidation83
Agreed that paying for Yews is pretty much always a bad decision (unless you want a level the next day and need all 5 to survive, then it's sort of understandable). Paying for mages though, is really a trade off of time and money. Cost of 10 Magic Seeds: 1,639k Cost of payments: 231k Expected xp w/o payments: 125,366.5 (assuming 1/10 dies) Xp w/ payments: 139,135 By paying for your mages, you get at 10% increase in earned xp for a 14% increase in cost, which equates to roughly a 2.5% increase in gp/xp. And lets face it, if you're planting mages, cost efficiency is not your #1 priority. More on topic, Calquats are still worth it at these prices in terms of gp/xp. Payments should be a total non-issue as well. Just pick 2 Poison Ivy bushes that you've planted each day and there's your payment. It's not like Poison Ivy seeds are difficult to come by and all you need is 2 of them ever.

That rule is for everybody, no exceptions for you. Personally I think the price rise is a bit unfortunate, calquats were really cheap exp before the update but now they are mediocre really. The price might cap off and drop a bit, I doubt it is a huge blow to those going for 99 though.

lordkafei
Rejoice, farmers! Calquat seed prices are indeed cratering. Apparently the market believes they were indeed overpriced in the 50K range. PvP is not for meIn the 3rd Year of the BoycottReal-world money saved since FT/W: Hundreds of DollarsReal-world time saved since FT/W: Thousands of Hours

D Jay99
What price do you think they will stop dropping? I will be so pissed if I try to buy them at like 20k each but they're unbuyable already, or if I buy them at 25k but they go down to 12k -.-.
