Remember when you were a kid. (it might take a lot longer for some people). Remeber all the fun stuff you used to do?

 

 

 

This thread here is to reminscence. About the things we used to do as a chillun.

 

 

 

I remember making castles out of trees, and fighting monsters out with make believe bows and arrows. I remember jumping off the pontoon, into the sea. Sword fights with sticks, and bubble wrapping kids. Bouncing around. So go ahead. Get nostalgic.

Eh, I don't like my own memories from my childhood. So I make up new ones that involve my current friends and use those, instead.

I remember having "who can jump out of the tree from the highest up" competitions with my friends when we were 9 or 10, and nobody ever got seriously injured by that. We spent days on end running round random bits of woodland, it was AWESOME.

 

God I wish I still lived in the countryside.

Ah yes, I remember running coke between neighborhoods on my little red bike. I made good money too. It's like delivering pizza, only illegal.

 

 

 

I remember building a 3 foot dam in the creek by my house once. We "stole" a bunch of bricks from some guy's yard and piled them up and covered them with sand. We actually raised the level of the creek for a bit until it rained and washed away the dam. :(

I remember lighting things on fire with my zippo I had when I was 5 then peeing on the fire and playing fireman. It was fun until I didn't put out the fire on a tree :? :cry:

I remember having this bubble wrap with massive bubbles.. Popping them was amazing.

 

 

 

Building dams to block little rivers on the beach was also pretty fun. :)

-Blowing bubbles and then attacking all of them until they pop. Or trying to avoid them, but being on offensive was more fun.

International Reading Association or Irish Republican Army? The first one implies that I have a creative mind and that would be a compliment :) , but the second one implies I have a violent one. Actually, that's a compliment too. Go Lucky Charms!!

I used to have fake wars with my toy soldiers with forts and stuff like that. Also used to climb and jump from high trees.

I ate, and watched Cartoon Network. I loathed in self pity, my familys finances were always unstable, i built my life around worry. My escape was mixing ink together and pretending it was werewolf potion, or dragon potion. Life hasent changed much.

I was the kid who built forts and pretended to fight battles with swords and bows; my brothers were the ones who jumped of the roof with umbrellas (Mary Poppins ftw), jumped out of the second story of the barn into a pile of straw, or had pig-rodeos.

if i had any left over black cats (small firecrackers) i would catch grasshoppers tie them to the black cat and light it \

 

 

 

my brother said he used to break smalls frogs jaw open, stick a black cat in, and light it :shock:

we had this creek running through the far side of my yard that connected to the gutter, I'd always builds dams and then set up boats and forts in and around the little mini-lake and play soldiers with those.

You're confusing the IRA and the PIRA with the RIRA, first 2 were good, the others were scum targeting civilians and soldiers indiscriminately.

 

 

 

I remember I kept playing with fireworks and smoke bombs as a kid, fun times until [cabbage] happened.

i used to play with my toy cars for hours. i pretended they argued about stupid stuff and made a huge car war and stuff :roll:. oh, and popping bubble wrap, it was so much fun. actually, i still do that :?

I used to pretend I could fly.. and sometimes I would be looking out the window in the yard.. and just imagining myself flying around...

 

 

 

I also used to walk into walls.. but that's beside the point. :shock: :?

 

 

 

Later... once I learnt to read.. I just lost myself in books.

 

 

 

then.. wehn I was 11.. I was a bookaholic and was obsessed. :roll:

being 14, im hardly nostalgic, but i've done some pretty crazy stuff XD. Like the time i hotwired my friends go-kart, or "Urban wakeboarded" (skateboard+rope tied to back of bike+fast pedaling and/or hill=major fun), or made a tennis ball bomb, or went airsofting...ahhh, the list goes on. My next big plan? Poor mans C4 :twisted: !

Lets see :-k

 

- racing tricycles downhill on a road

 

- racing a GT across 6 neighbors yards and stopping inches from a shed

 

- using a sling shot to shoot rocks over the garage from the back yard to the front yard/driveway

 

- flooding ant hills with the hose

 

- attacking my father with waterballoons ( with my mom's help) :thumbsup:

 

 

 

those are all I can think of at the moment.

I never got to do any of this fun stuff, because by the time I was old enough to leave the block, we had just moved to Finland and I grew out of it long before I knew enough Finnish to do it. :( I still don't.

wow. someone took my comment on that other thread, and made it into a thread :s i used to do all sorts of fun stuff as a kid, hell, i still do and i'm about to be 20. never really got seriously hurt doing anything, had a few near concussions (best story about one of those is when my friend and i were pretending to fight with bamboo shafts, i blocked wrong and he ended up smashing me in the side of the head with a shaft of bamboo that was like an inch or so in diameter. that was painful) also my friend and i decided to take a walk on down the creek that was near his property, walked for a few hours, ended up 7 miles taking the roads from his house, was only probably 3 following the creek, but we were tired. we got some stranger (who coincidentally got her daughter who went to the same school as us, and who had seen us, as we had seen her in the school halls :lol: ) to drive us home. fun times. i miss those days. oh, and most of my good stories are from the ages of like, 14-17. i honestly don't remember much of anything prior to age 12.

Playing catch with a goldfish. Very immature of me, I'm sure animal rights activists will be firing death threats, but it was fun.

 

 

 

Also, miming things. Like mime coughing. Not as easy as it looks unless you want to look very stupid.
