For first week I didn't know where to check you combat level...

ditto there

~EDIT:- Also I remember when I first started playing (x-mas 06) I remember using my precious bronze pickaxe to get level 15 mining, and got my 1st iron ore and I was like 'z0mgz, 1ron 0r3!1!! w00t!11!' and then proceeded to go to the top of lummy castle n into the bank and started repeatedly saying

Selling rare iron ore!!1!

Ive made alot of mistakes! My most noteable one was I didn't know the difference between Falador and Varrock. I thought they were the exact same cities and believe that Draynor, Lumbridge and Varrock was the only F2P area. I think I may have been between level 30-50 when I figured it out.

With the talks about not being able to find combat, I had the same problem. Level 60somthing when I found it  I also used to train whatever the 1st option was for awhile; bit confusing.

I entered in my pw back in the day where it wasn't censored ... :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

So did I... :wall:

Oha nd I spent about a month on the game before I realised you fished in draynor.

And I believed I was special because I got the evil Bob Prison event, and I went round going "omfg i went to Scaperune have u ever been there!?"

selling a rune pl8 (g) for 1k which I thought was a lot #-o (its was gift from friend)

ouch, that sucks

mine is i though you had to chop down the oak tree right outside the house when you first started tutorial island for the woodcutting, so i literally spend 15 minuted clicking on it in dismay and wondering why i couldnt cut it down, because i read ahead in the chat box and it said go to "tutorial person" to learn about woodcutting, fishing, and firemaking.

Making an account :x

But in the game itself? I actually have a pretty funny story. We all know to get different combat xp you gotta switch the attack interfaces? Seems I wasn't paying great attention. I made my first account, I can't even remember its name, and couldn't figure out why I was only getting attack xp. So I made a new account, and I guess I played around with the combat thing, because I got strength to 5. So then I was like "What the hell why am I getting strength levels but not attack levels?" I honestly probably spend a week figuring out how to get melee xp in different skills :wall:

Fresh off tutorial island, I was trying to find a bank. Walked straight past Varrock and headed just a little too far north.

(These were the days of the pking wilderness, btw).

Got pk'ed

Spent a week trying to find that chicken place I passed on the way to Varrock.

After finding, that, spent another week trying to find the grain mill I saw once.

First noob mistake i made was to ignore the 'noob' skills of fishing and cooking and concentrate on mining and smithing. I thought eventually I would be able to make my own rune pl8. Aside from that, I was wondering why you couldn't go through the gate into the desert. It was about 2 months later that I discovered it cost 10gp. Soon after that I found the world map, and suddenly I knew where to go to complete Cooks Assistant, the first thing I'd started after leaving Tutorial Island. Speaking of which, on Tutorial Island, when the quest guide talked about quests, I thought you had to do the quests in the order they were listed, and was gutted when I couldn't start (Black Knight Fort needing 12 qp). I'd figured it out after the Tutorial tho.

got killed by a farmer :o

So did I!! I was like... oh yeah I can kill this guy! I killed a goblin before... and then I died :wall:

Other n00b mistakes include... First finding the wilderness after about 3 months of playing, walking in then promptly being owned by many, many mages :wall:

Spending ALL my time mining and smithing because I was SO gonna make rune and get loads of money \'

I'd have to say my most recent n00b mistake (a very sore one) was teleporting to Falador maybe on the 2nd day of the new PvP worlds and losing full rune and RoW. Well done Rachael. After many years you're still an idiot =D>

Well, there are two, of which one isn't really a mistake. One is being lured into the wilderness. It wasn't a real lure, he told to follow, and attacked me. I fought back for like, half a min (I happened to have food on me since I was being a pack rat) and then ran. It was pretty laughable, the thing is just that I got lured.

The other is that I had no idea where to start smithing. So I went to the Draynor fishing spot to ask, then someone led me on an epic adventure which resulted in me doing Doric's quest, but nothing smithed. I proceeded to check the manual, or something. :|

two noobish mistakes

first: i got an earth talisman and followed it. when i got to the pile of rocks, i thought it was a rune ore mining spot

second: thinking runescape was lame when i first heard about it in 2001...think about that

don't know what is so bad about it?

http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?p ... _items.htm

that's what's so bad about it!!!

Me too! I was killed by a dark wizard and lost all my runes (which weren't a lot) and I thought I wouldn't be able to do magic ever again :-#

Back in 2007 one of my friends pmed me saying that he was buying a spinach roll for 1 mil. I had a Zamorak skirt so I went to Varrock and traded my skirt to some random person for the spinach roll. I message my friend telling him that I have the roll and he logs out. -.- Yeah I felt very stupid. After that I went to flesh crawlers to collect Unids.

When I was level 10 or so, I was wandering around edge, and I had already been into the wildy once this log in, so no screen for me. Someone came up to me and told me to follow for treasure...

You can probably guess what happened.

Balance may be power, but chaos is still pretty damn fun.
