Foooman
Steel Dragons Hellhounds Everything else is preference, but those two are the worst tasks he assigns. Both are terribly crowded hindering proper slayer xp.

cat666
For a start don't go by anyone elses blocks. Everyone is different, take everyones advise into consideration and then try them yourself. My 3 blocks (and reasons) are: Skelly Wyverns - Annoying to get to and kill. Steel Dragons - Few spawns and you have to fight other players and Iron Dragons for them. Plus they are slow. Warped Terrobirds - No good drops, rubbish XP and no way to block all attacks. My fourth is empty currently as all other tasks are bearable. Trust the Gene Genie! Italian5kamikaze
^ THose two are like the best ones -.-" I blocked Waterfiends, as I never have the paitence to eliminate them. Hell hounds have no drops but gold charms andthe occasional clue scroll, steel dragons take for ever to kill and by blocking waterfiends your missing out on a ton of crimson charms and good drops. Skeletal Wyverns drop 2 crimson charms at a time and pretty often, not too hard to kill and there's a safespot when they arent aggressive. Steel dragons do take a long time and theres not a lot of spawns like iron dragons so I agree with you there. Warped Terrorbirds are supposedly annoying to kill because you have to use a chime and a lot of people dont prefer them but you usually make back the money you spend on prayer pots. Quit. Kazel
Everybody says I'm dumb for blocking kalphites but if you don't have a cannon (which I don't) they take far too long to be efficient. That's just my preferance though. I'm going to block waterfiends once I get the points, I don't have the right skills for them. I'd reccomend blockinf waterfiends for the same reasons. Also Scabarites, they're way too much hassle. SLAYERGEEK

Waterfiends drop a lot of crimson though, and yeah dont do scarabites unless you either have a cannon or can stand to do the task. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes. Like I said it's all preference. Wyverns are pain in the bottom to melee. The safe spot requires 20 mins to use whilst they go non-aggro and the charms are not worth it if it's slayer XP you want. If you want crimsons, Waterfiends. I totally disagree regarding Hellhounds. They are great melee XP and with super def/Bunyip you whizz through without getting hit much. Yes sometimes it's crowded but bring a cannon along to scare people off then melee again. The drops are poor yes, but your not spending a lot on the task and getting 80+ golds. Plus you're almost guaranteed a clue scroll which could lead to 3rd age! Trust the Gene Genie!

Plus they are slow. Warped Terrobirds - No good drops, rubbish XP and no way to block all attacks. The first two are true, at least before 88 summoning. But warped terrorbirds, you talk as if you have never even done a task. While cannoning these using a combat familiar I can return PROFIT covering both the prayer pots, super sets, and the cannonballs. They also come up to 50k+ slay xp/hour if you cannon. Please explain to me how they don't have good drops if you profit while cannoning, how they have rubbish XP if they are one of the fastest tasks with a cannon. It's true you cannot block all of their attacks, but by praying range you won't even need food because of the obscene amount of gnome foods they drop. ilovecardj
My block list Black dragons - I dont like killing babies either Steel drags - block these 100% Iron drags - slow exp, not very good drops imo Black demons - good task, I just find it to boring to handle I skip these everytimes with points Hellhounds - trash task, crowded etc Kalphites - hate em though I will kill kq occasionally for fun Greater demons - crowded/boring etc Sometimes skip these Fire giants - pretty good exp, but mainly gold dropper. I try to do mostly crimson tasks, unless its dags which i cannon Blocked by quests Sugah/scarabite/terrobirds i hear sugah/scarabite good cannonables. may unlock soon Never had goraks, but id probly skip them if i did. Waterfiends are imo a top task. best crimson charm dropper+black mask = great exp/charms Wyverns are great crimson dropper. drop granite legs reasonably, and ive gotten a visage. so yeah i enjoy wyverns. I would reccomend blocking what YOU hate, and what YOU dont enjoy. Slaying is one of the funnest skills, just dont force yourself to grind on hated tasks just for a bit of added efficiency. Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning

I've done them twice and burned lots of prayer pots and food for very little reward. I'd like to know how you manage to cannon and still cleanse them all and still profit. Maybe you should write a guide if they are that good. Trust the Gene Genie!
Ned
Wow lol lots of different opinions. I just got assigned Warped Terroribirds I'll see if what you say is true. LJoker
I got blocked: - Scabarites, because they are very far away from bank and if we get distracted they can kill us easy. - Warped Terrorbirds, because they are a pain to kill and not that great drops. - Waterfiends, because they are a pain to kill and if you don't use the Bunyip special they are bad. - Skeletal wyverns, i really prefer wasting my time on Steel dragons then them. But if you don't like Steel and Iron dragons I really recomend you to switch to Sumona trainer.
michel555555
i have blocked scarabites -- some good drops but just a pain because they are a multy and can have all three attack styles attacking you hell hounds--- good gold charm drops but nothing else terror dogs--- plain out pain to kill in a multy zone that drains prayer and take forever to get to if you don't spend points on slayer ring spirit terror birds--- can turn a proffit but not worth the hastle but its all down to preferances just block the tasks that get under your skin [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
teh_mage_ftw
You should block dust devils, and when you get high enough, block abyssal demons, spirtual mages, and dark beasts. 99 magic achieved on July 3rd 2008.
Lets_3ekout
You should block dust devils, and when you get high enough, block abyssal demons, spirtual mages, and dark beasts. I can't tell if you're being serious, but that's the biggest failure of a blacklist I've ever seen (can't talk for dark beasts though). You generally want to prioritize iron/steel dragons to be blocked, they're frequent tasks and they're hell to do. If you don't want any summoning exp at all you can think of scabarites and waterfiends. A blacklist dedicated to give you solely to best slayer exp would be something along the lines of: Steel drag, iron drag, wyverns, (any monster you dislike). If there's a bad task but it's rare to be assigned it, make sure to NOT blacklist it, the bad and rare tasks are a perfect one to use the 30 point cancel option on. cat666
You should block dust devils, and when you get high enough, block abyssal demons, spirtual mages, and dark beasts. Don't listen to this troll. All great tasks. EDIT: Dark Beasts are brilliant XP in melee and slayer. 225 slayer XP per kill?, yes please!. They drop blue charms quite often and have some good alchable items (although they don't drop them very often). They also drop the Dark Bow, which netted me an easy 950k last week. They also are always aggro so you can semi AFK them with prayer. Trust the Gene Genie!
RayOxide
Do what cat said, it depends on what you like, how you slay, and especially what drops you want or need. If you want quick tasks then you shouldnt block kalphites. Yes, they are quick. Especially with cannon. I dont need a siggy no moar.
