Anyhoo, the weapons don't have specs and only last half an hour, so they aren't all that good. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? F2P mages have like... blue wizard robes(they die if they wear that) and mage amulet, and if they wear rune their magic sucks so they pretty much can only wear green dragonhide. Rangers have little success because most people in F2P pvp with rune, which is naturally stronger against ranged, green dragonhide has weak defences and mage shortbow is weak. But F2P is just the trial version of the game, a small part of the game and it doesn't represent the true game so I can understand why Jagex doesn't bother balancing it 2480+ total Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, they are too hard to obtain for normal use, can't be fixed like Barrows, and are too costly to use for only 30 minutes. And f2p get corrupted dragon armors as well. Anyway, the corrupted dragon equipment is pretty cool, other than the dull color, but I'd like to get my hands on some to sell on the G.E... :lol: Erm, anyway...This won't be that overpowered, after all, after 30 minutes disintegration occurs with the weapons, and F2P has always been pretty powerful anyway. I myself haven't tried out PvP worlds; can't wait, though... The Observer Posted October 16, 2008 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Nah, I don't think it's overpowered. Considering the rarity and only 30 minutes of having it, it's basically a waste of money. Don't forget, you can't poison any of them. Looking at the other combat areas, Ranged and Magic both are very strong against melee. You just need a high enough level in both. How unoriginal can you get? lets use the exact same armour thats been around for years...but hey...lets let them use it only for 30 minutes, and then the lets turn them into dust. harhar sounds like a great idea... we need more crap that degrades after a time limit and why only melee items? wtf is that about... what happened to rangers and magers? now the gap got bigger what a load of [cabbage] for f2p...it really is at least they could have extended the time limit to like a few hours... to make them reasonable...that way at least you can try to make a profit from pking more this 30 min time limit will limit the market for these items...honestly who wants a dragon chain for 30 minutes for ... 400k... who the heck earns that much money in f2p to compensate for that price? no one is going to want to buy it until it goes down...and there goes profit and there goes any reason to use dragon weapons in the first place. Gah, im so angry and members as well...yeah sure the abilities are nice...but good luck trying to pk every piece that you would like to have...oh but wait..it degrades as well... well who wants that? and brawling gloves arent tradeable? wth? There is a forum on tip.it called rants for a reason. The reason Jagex did this is just to give F2P a taste of what dragon weapons do so they might in turn want to subscribe for the full benefit of playing runescape. F2p, is just minus half the armor in rs, minus a lot of quests, and some places to roam. Many people are happy with the f2p style of playing and I prefer some of the aspects of f2p over p2p. Yomyth105 Posted October 17, 2008 Share Posted October 17, 2008 2nd fight in f2p... range for the win \ 8-) nice. melee may seem over powered but i believe that it is still somehow balanced. melee is great and dragon items dont last too long and hard to obtain. melee does have superior weapons already but look at the others. the others can hit u from far which is a big advantage. think about it. range hits very fast from far away. magic hits little slower but very powerful against full rune wearers. it is balanced and fighting balanced is the way to go. What matters is how a company goes about making money. Some companies are dishonest and make money using cheap materials and dishonest claims in order to fool the client. Some companies make quality products, are honest to their clients and make money because of their loyal customer base. Basically, it's the difference between walking into a grocery store and buying a "premium"(according to company's claim) chocolate bar for 5$ that's actually made with crappy ingredients that damage your health, and going into a specialized and buying a truly premium chocolate bar made with healthy ingredients for that 5$, or slightly bit more. In this example, company whos making crappy bars and selling them for a higher price under false pretenses are a bunch of [wagon]. Company whos making the good chocolate bar is making less profit, but their product is good and they're not trying to trick people, making them worth respect and I'd have be happy to give them my money for their good products. There are people buying the good quality chocolate bars that dont like the taste. So they complain to the company the recepie needs to be changed. But some people like the current ingredients. This is the delema we have. A few people buying the bars, but complaining on how they taste bad. You could say if you dont like the taste of the bar, dont buy it, but that would be saying, if you dont like the updates, dont play Runescape. Jagex just use the flavor of bar most people will like to increase their profits while making the majority of people happy. But there will always be someone who dosent like the taste. OT: These melee updates dont really overpower F2P to much as they vanish after a short time. If anything FOG overpowers F2P much more than these weapons do.
