October 27, 200817 yr In about 10 minutes or so, I will be attempting one of my sought after goals - finally getting the Firecape! But before I leave, I want to now if I have what it takes, any last minute changes to my inventory, equipment, and any quick tips to make my trip a success. My stats can be accessed via my profile to the left. I am willing to spend around 1m to alter my equipment/supplies, but am unwilling to do any quests. My friend (sirhemen) may lend me his Saradomin Godsword for the trip, but is it essential or just nice to have, and to what extent? So, am I stuff enough to topple Tz-Tok Jad?
October 27, 200817 yr SGS will help you pretty much only with the round where the 180s, 90s, 45s, and 360s barrage you, where you may need the additional HP boost. October 27, 200817 yr I'd actually replace one or two ranged potions and a restore potion for saradomin brews. If this is your first time, you might make a couple of mistakes and take damage so the extra brews will come in handy. Ranged potions aren't so necessary and you'll probably only want to use it during later waves. With your stats and gear, you should have no problem at all completing it. It all lies on your ability and skill, doing things right and making as few mistakes as possible. I have done the Fight Caves myself in which I died on Jad, but it was just a mistake made by me. I still had enough resources to beat him left. And I was using a similar gear like yours, though my book is just a +5 prayer boost. Keep in mind that I have 69 ranged, 62 prayer and had 70 defense back then, way below your stats.

October 27, 200817 yr Author Thanks, I am currently at wave 46 (360 + 180), and am at good shape. Imma watch a few Jad videos to pick up a strategy and log back in when I am confident that I can beat him. Yes, I think I brought too few Saradomin brews, and how can extra ammo hurt?

October 27, 200817 yr Author Attempt #4 - Failure. Telemarketer called our house between wave 61 and 62 - which disrupts our connection for around 65 seconds. This kicked me out the caves. This is the 4th time a phone call killed my connection at the Fight Caves.

October 27, 200817 yr Instead of adding to the bickering: A Karil's top is slightly better in the caves, but it doesn't matter for you. If you don't beat jad, it won't be because you run out of supplies or have the wrong stuff-- it will be because you miss a prayer or two. Good luck, although you've probably already been through the caves by now. Edit: Agh we posted around the same time. Keep trying!

It is a good idea to take brews + equal amounts of restores + ppots rest if you want to save money, it's how I got my fire cape too.
October 28, 200817 yr I went overkill when I did it so that I would not have to do it again. Diamond bolts(e) the whole way, super restores, and Sara Brews. Only the best for me. In the end I failed twice before finally succeeding. Point is: prayer pots would probably work with no trouble.
