November 4, 200817 yr Alright ladies and gents, I've gotta fill you in on what I see as the best and worst in '08 as far as music goes. 1. Guilty Pleasure - "Disturbia", Rhianna. This song is so incredibly catchy that I can't help but like it. The music video also deserves a thumbs up for the horrifying nature of the video. 2. Best Album - Easily, "In Silico" by Pendulum. Songs such as "Granite" and "Showdown" are enough drum and bass to get even a dead person's heart pumping. Special kudos to the band for "Mutiny" landing on the LG (cannot remember which model of phone) commercial. 3. Biggest Disappointment (Song) - "Heroes of Our Time", DragonForce. I have to say this song really made me lose faith in this band, long are the days when their songs were fun to listen too. I really was expecting more. 4. Best Surprise - "All Summer Long", Kid Rock. Who knew that ANOTHER mix of "Sweet Home Alabama" would be made, but who knew that it actually would be good? It may be because he references Michigan, or maybe its because Kid Rock just loves life and the song represents it. 5. Best Song - "Psychosocial", Slipknot. When I was in the car with my girlfriend today, I told her "A good metal song makes me want to punch someone in the face". "Psychosocial" makes me want to punch everyone in the face. When Slipknot put out "Before I Forget" I knew this band had talent. "Psychosocial" is damn near the best metal song I have heard in ages, and I think we all need to watch out for Slipknot in the future. 6. Best DVD Release - "Chaos in Motion", Dream Theater. Totally biased.

November 4, 200817 yr There are catchier. In particular, the recent one by Miley Cyrus. I agree with you about Kid Rock, though. Thought his good years were long behind him, but now he mixes country and rock. Again. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
November 4, 200817 yr Author Yeah I was thoroughly surprised with Kid Rock. Not to mention that the video was just as Rock'n'Roll as anything could get.
November 4, 200817 yr Edit: Oh [cabbage], I feel like an idiot, sorry  Psychosocial is damn near the best metal song I have heard in ages. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!
November 4, 200817 yr Author Christian is my name ;) "Psychosocial" happens to the best I've heard in ages because it is different, it is new, and it is metal.

November 4, 200817 yr I disagree with most of what you put up, but oh well. I'm really just posting to say you might want to change the title from "Christian's Music Picks of 2008" to "Ralag's Music Picks of 2008" so people don't continue to get confused. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
November 4, 200817 yr 5. Best Song - "Psychosocial", Slipknot. When I was in the car with my girlfriend today, I told her "A good metal song makes me want to punch someone in the face". November 4, 200817 yr Kinda wierd that you told your girlfriend a good metal song makes you want to punch someone in the face. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
November 4, 200817 yr Author She's a good girlfriend. Listen to "Psychosocial", its really a great song.
November 4, 200817 yr Its alright. I can fall asleep to Slipknot. Just throwing that out there. |Signature by Jason321|
November 4, 200817 yr Slipknot didn't exactly meet my expectations with their new album. I guess that's what happens when you try to follow up an album produced by Rick Rubin. Same with The Mars Volta on De-Loused. They haven't used him since and haven't put out an album as good as that one. And please, Kid Rock is an absolute disgrace to music. By the way, he not only pays sacrilege to "Sweet Home Alabama", but even goes as far as insulting "Werewolves In London" with his lack of musical talent. Kid Rock has followed the trends of music for his whole career. I.E.: He was rapping when the Limp Bizkit era was prime, he was rock when that started to come around, and now he's country when it's getting more popular. He's a complete sell out and a horrible artist. Kid Rock should be on the list of top 25 worst artists of all time. God I hate him so much. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
November 4, 200817 yr Katy Perry is my guilty pleasure. Her newest song, Hot and Cold, is better than I Kissed A Girl, I reckon.

It's nothing short of sacrilege, and he's a douche.
November 4, 200817 yr Kid Rock, good God. He once thought he had to 'save' rock and 'n roll, right? I would loved to have seen that scene, with you and your girlfriend. : Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
November 4, 200817 yr >Pendulum Stopped reading there.Slipknot didn't exactly meet my expectations with their new album.Weren't you ardently defending that album when it was released?I'm currently blasting this album in my sound system in my dorm which I just moved into. I've had at least 10 people drop by and give props. Why not? It's not exactly like their other albums in the sense of song structure.I rest my case. Steam | Soup | Last.fm
November 6, 200817 yr That amount of mainstream garbage made me projectile vomit all over my screen :? My Last.FmLeekSpinner!!!Random Furry Dance!!!Proud to hate life, since not too long ago!!!
November 6, 200817 yr Its alright. I can fall asleep to Slipknot. Just throwing that out there. I can fall asleep to anything, a couple months ago I actually found listening to Slayer at a low volume helped me sleep. I like the song Vendetta from the new Slipknot album a lot more then Psychosocial, mostly because the bass drum sounding like a snare roll is epic. EDIT: Live Your Live > Disturbia (I know LYL is T.I., but Rihanna is in it.)
November 7, 200817 yr Author These are just my picks. I'm actually surprised I have that much mainstream in there.
