this thread used to be about how bandos tassets is worse than dharok legs. this was edited after my post on the 3rd page. some one mentioned bandos plate and i got mad at his post for getting off topic so instead of getting mad i made this thread about all bandos armor and dharok armor (there's dragon boots thrown in there)

 

 

 

ok basically bandos is the root of all evil. it's expensive dumb and just not usefull. godsword territory is not to be entered!

 

these are the stats for bandos: plate, boots, tassets. all of which pale in comparison to dharok.

 

 

 

now the only argument that can be made is the argument that bandos plate has a +4 strength bonus over dharok plate. fighter torso has a +4 strength bonus as well an can easily be used in place. however. fighter torso doesn't have as good defense bonuses as bandos does. then you can make the argument about how if you want defense bonuses then you should just use dharok plate. it's a triangle argument /_\ *that's a triangle (:*

now I can understand if you just have 30m lying around AFTER you bought your ags and your other steroids but for peeps that think anything with the word "bandos or armadyl" will yield the best stat results. i told a friend of mine that lost about 2m so far on tassets that dharok has better stats than tassets and he almost cried.

dharok also has the same exact stats as torgag's, but it's more expensive at 374k

so here's the best defense in the game setup right here: dfs, verac's plateskirt, torag/verac/guthan helmet, dragon boots, dragon gaunlets, fire cape, some stupid ring, obby staff, fury.

 

after all's said and done, you have 21.094m

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the most expensive thing there is the dfs and if you eliminate that, you're left with that 200m shield. then crystal full shield. after all of that you've spent 4819k (4.8m) (with crystal shield instead of dfs).

But two str bonus? Thats junk. Unless you can prove that having two extra strength bonus really will have affects on how you kill them, then, I see no reason to blow 8M on it.

But with price drops on the tasset, and the barrows legs barely fluctuating, at low prices anyway, when your done with a tasset you could have lost 500k just from price drops, where barrows is only 90k at max?

The argument on stats is all dependent on playing style. While Verac's offers little in the way of actual defense, it is the only Barrows set which includes bonus to Prayer. When you run low on food and health, your protection prayers can last a lot longer with Verac's. On the other hand, outright defense might be what most people go for and in that case, dharok's would be an advantage. As far as Bandos, it might not entirely be about the defense properties, so much as the bragging rights and show-off aspect. After all, it's one of those expensive items that actually serve a purpose, unlike party hats or Halloween masks. Or even better, shows off their ability to take on the God Wars Dungeon.

 

 

 

Keep in mind, pride is one of the ever-present factors in RuneScape, and sometimes can be the cause of many an argument.

I've always preferred Barrows over all other armor. The Defense bonus is insane for how much it costs.

The set effect of veracs is more usefull, in more areas that dh.

Tassets don't degrade, look much nicer, and when you add in the factor of conspicuous consumption these are a much better choice for me than Dharok's legs.

For the record I have 21m in my bank right now. I have a 3 month investment in my kingdom that I've put 100% effort in. I can easily afford tassets. I'm just making a rant on how people assume that, because you have to go through great lengths to get an item, it must have amazing stats. However it is not the case with this.

 

 

 

I must've been absent when the "guys wearing skirts" fad started. There's not really a lot of skirts out there that men can wear in rs..... How are you going to look good, brah?
