I noticed this today, possibly right after the system update. Just as the Bounty Hunter worlds were reduced, the same is happening to the PVP worlds. We are now limited to eight worlds. Not sure what the previous number was.

 

 

 

I expect bigger clans will get into more fights, while the smaller ones get demolished left & right.

Well of course jagex wants to minimalise RWT(and in pvp world case-drop fixing). They had the large number of worlds simply to cope with the huge amount of people that wanted to try them, but by yesterday, half the pvp worlds had less than 200 people on them. It is unfortunate news for small clans but hopefully we can make do. :)

The only problem I see here is that clans will run into each other often. The smaller clans won't have much of a chance PKing. Still, it's great for the big clans. :

Well, I can finally go on The Order's home world (55) without fear of being PK'd. That's the only good news I can think of.

Now EoS will have less worlds to hide from us on, I like it.

I think it's good. PvP worlds were just being too inactive.

I don't see how RWT is a problem really. Number of players on the world won't affect anything. Its probably people whining that their 'home world' has been taken

It's annoying for clans wanting to war in pvp :( I hope they don't continue to reduce the amount of worlds because even slightly larger clans like BK feel the effects of basically being forced into the top 10 clans.

agree.. im in golden sun and we had that porblem before the pvp worlds were reduced but its even worse now.

 

Thing is we search 7 worlds and find nothing, the smaller clans just arent going out cus of the top 10 clans dominating tonight we ran into corr 3 times and hopped world from them like 100000 times. There is room for smaller clans dont get me wrong, corr/df/eos etc arent out 24/7 but theres alot of smaller clans that just arent coming out. Same for random people at greaters barely see it now, used to get the odd 30 opts of random people now they dont bother they stick to ffa or cwa

oh, are you cerealix? I think corr ran into you guys today and kinda ended your pk trip quite abruptly lol, I got a rune mace and 2 rune helms from one of you lol. You guys piled our scout and he dragged you to us where we hit you.

from the point of view of a top clan, I like the update for the same reason those of you in smaller clans dislike it. Our trips are far more interesting as there is nobody we have to be afraid of so we can just hop through worlds with pretty much guaranteed action rather than spending a few hours just walking around the empty wilderness. We managed to kill about 8 clans today in the time we would probably only find 3 usually. Free rune ftw :P

There will be more solo pkers grouped in more worlds. This is good for small clans (10 to 30 people) at barbs & falador. Hopefully a general rule of thumb that larger clans can agree on is to stay in the wild and not come storming down on Barb/Falador too often.

yeah we went falador pking once when it was new and other clans laughed at us so we haven't done it since :$

It'll be like old wilderness. Small clans, teams, solo will still manage to thrive, e.g. Mage Bank and Edgeville in the old wilderness.

I guess there is the thing that you can war in other places in RS, places like south of Barbarian village or Falador might be good places to have wars although run ins might be a bit of pain because people can return so quick, also there is no place as good as Members gate imo. Then again beggars can't be choosers :( if the worlds are reduced much further then smaller clans might have to find new places to pk and go back to clan wars to war or something, I guess it is all down to what Jagex do :o the downside for bigger clans is if smaller clans decide they need to move there are less people to kill up where the larger clans are so I think too much of a reduction in worlds could prove to be bad for everyone.

We've been PKing more at Falador because of the larger run-ins that we can't yet face. We get more action at Falador, so it's a good decision.

less worlds =more fights=more fun.

 

The problem also is if people have planned pkri's=more crashers=more DF acing :o
