Well, That's Zemouregal, but Lucien has the staff. I wonder what is amok among the ranks of the Mahjarrat? Or Maybe Zemouregal is loyal to Zamorak, whereas Lucien is loyal to Zaros.

I'm more interested in that skull cave in the back atm...

It's most likely to be Lucien, Zemouregal is not unique as a 'skull-faced' mahjarrat, they are shape shifters and it's possible that the skull-face is their 'true form'. Enahkra and another mahjarrat's whose name escapes me at the moment showed the ability to transform.

Lucien sided with Zamorak against Zaros, however he probably has his own agenda, they are a war like race and probably thrive on trying to surpass one another.

I tried zooming into the gem because I kinda think it looks like a saradomin symbol and could possibly be 'the eye of saradomin' or also possibly the stone of Jas.

Whatever it is, that gem on the forehead must have a huge significance, especially if we go back to one of the first teasers of 'leave no stone unturned' :)

Thats lucien with the staff of armandyl. This was suggested in the recent quest defender of varrock. They also said they were releasing hints on teh quest everywhere, so the banner seems like fair game.

This is the link to the "Runescape vs. rwt" news post, if you scroll down there is a sketch of this exact figure, with a caption below that reads "some Content to be released in 2008".

This link is safe, I know there have been links to scam sites going around but this link takes you to the runescape site.

I believe the figure to be lucien and the staff to be armadyl, :twss: :twss: :twss: :twss: :twss:

I love when this happens, I love speculating ::'

Zemourgeal claims that he is going to the North to meet with Lucien and "the others", so perhaps he obtains the staff from him. I really think it is Zemourgeal because of the sheer likeness between the picture and the in-game character. However, it is possible that it is Lucien.

The background is interesting, could this dark, evil cavern be the location of the upcoming quest? Maybe there is a great showdown or something, deep underground. Or maybe this background is in the North? The north does not necessarily have to be a icy/snowy region, it could be lava/volcanic just like the wilderness.

"Leave no stone unturned": deeply suggests an underground location, and the background is either leading underground (the skull cave entrance) or is already.

Is it connected with the Dragon Forge in any way, or are these two separate storylines?

Just some thoughts :geek:

It's Zemouregal, he and Lucien must be fighting over the staff, this was sort of hinted in Defender Of Varrock, Zemouregal was telling Saratheerk, is assitant that he doesn't care about his cousin Lucien, this is probably because of the staff. Probably.

Thats my theory, anyway. \'

Wow, that was actually one of the best posts I've ever seen! Nothing but logic and truth, except for one thing: The Eye of Saradomin probably IS the Stone of Jas. Wizard Elriss, the founder of the Runecrafting Guild, talks about the Eye of Saradomin and says that it created all magic and runes, and we know that the Stone did that.

Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).

Yeah, I am a firm believer that the Stone of Jas and Eye of Saradomin are one in the same, but I disregarded that to try and fit it in with the gem on the forehead since we don't really know if it actually has any significance yet.

Looking at it really zoomed in it looks like a Sara symbol. When I think of the Stone of Jas, I just can't imagine a symbol of Saradomin being on it, unless Saradomin stole Jas' symbol or some other bizarre theory or whatever, so this banner and this banner alone, I'm considering the possibility that they are seperate items, or perhaps the Eye of Saradomin could be a fragment of the Stone of Jas or... yeah I'm leaving it there.

I could speculate too much on this and I don't really want to.

My theory:

Stone of Jas and Eye of Saradomin are the same thing... The saradominists zealots named the stone of jas "eye of saradomin" to modify the history saying that Sradomin was the "true" origin of the runes...

If the stone of Jas has a saradomin symbol, is surely a carving of a saradomin's minion, or himself.

If it is the Stone of Jas then it shouldn't be possible to carve onto it. Guthix couldn't even damage it!

Hmm, that skeleton looks like the concept art for the last Summoning deveolpemnt diary.
