Danqazmlp
You see countless threads, ingame content and lores on zamorak, zaroz and even guthix quite recently. But throughout my playing i've never come across anything explaining the roots of Saradomin. Personally my fave god, the good god in the truest sense, but how did he become a god? In a cutscene of the newest quest 'While guthix sleeps', there was a small cutscene when touching the stone of jas that might explain some. It depicted a small chubby man, touching the stone, then suddenly he was quite tall, beardless and a saradomin symbol on his chest. This may sound like nothing, but all through the quest the stone was also reffered to as the 'Eye of Saradomin'. Maybe this was the birth of saradomin we saw? The moment he became a god? Was he a guthix follower before he touched the stone, as he had access to the huge complex built by the druids? So does anybody who's read the rs lores know the origins of Saradomin, or is it still unknown? What do you think the origins are? Want to be my friend? Emmentail
I think that guy was just the original discoverer of the Stone.. From what i've gathered Saradomin used the Stone of Jas / Eye of Saradomin in the God Wars to boost his power in an attempt to destroy Zamorak. Lt_Surge
I think that guy was just the original discoverer of the Stone.. Yes... Saradomin. I'm not sure... But this guy would've had to have been at least the second person to discover it, since Guthix was the first... Wasn't he? When I see people say it, I pronounce it "poon" in my head. Makes more sense to me. Aneron
He was the primitive human mentioned in Moravio's notes; I can't remember his name but it started with V. I suppose it's possible, if it originally belonged to guthix it must have acquired the name 'eye of saradomin' from somewhere
basiliko
Saradomin claimed that he alone had created the world, but it isnt entirely true (at least three other gods have helped, including Guthix, who had created the majority it). Saradomin also made a deal with Zamorak to overthrow Zaro during the Second Age (talk about not making deal with the devil). Although Saradomin is generally a good god to most people, his followers sure aint as good as most people think. The Church of Saradomin is corrupt and the White Knight Order isnt goodies little boys, and they kills those who try to throw suspicion onto Saradomin's beliefs. Sound like a certain real world religion I know... The Haraguroi Club: Where Yandere Thrive for Chopping
krugtheorc
maybe saradomin isn't all that good maybe saradomin isn't the god of good and law, but more of the preservation, protection, and rebellion maybe he's more the champion against zaros, and later zamorak. The beam of light in the darkness that was so symbolic, so famous, that he became less of a mortal and more of an ideal, a legend that grew to unursupable knowledge. Of course, you do not have to be a god to become a legend. Maybe he, with his valor and charisma and power, simply died out as a normal mortal, his ideals continuing after death. Maybe he was a king, and his lineage kept his name and power until they all died out. Maybe saradomin is not a god, but a myth; a story of a champion to right wrongs, a sage of morals, and a leader of broken soldiers to unursopable heights. Maybe i'm just talking for the sake of talking. It is not the great who are strong, but the strong who are great--Albel Nox

I think he might be that guy in the cut scene.

hipyhop00
Saradomin is the god of good But good isnt nice and zamorak told noobs about what saradomin had done(eg whiping out the zaros) and turned the people against him. saradomin stopped communicating with the people because to do whats right you have to have rules to protect people. Sy_Accursed
There's no speculation over Saradomin because we simply do not know anything about him. We know lots of guthix bringing people to the world, being powerful compared to other gods, creating magic from the stone of jas etc. We know lots of Zamorak and Zaros because theres a whole story around that. But Saradomin we have nothing told to us about so far. That cutscene is most definately the person whos name starts with V mentioned in both the ntoes and books on lunar isle. He stumbled upon the stone of Jas and touched it and learned magic but when he returned the stone had been removed by the gods. You can clearly see this in that the stone in the cutscene is clearly in a pillar of rock and not in the temple. SwreeTak
Saradomin is my favourite god. He's the good guy and he is wise. He tries to defeat evil and do what is right. Of the gods in RS, I'm the most alike him, and that's probably why I follow him. I don't know much more about him than what I have said here, but I don't really care either. He's the coolest god in my opinion. And for me, that is enough. But of course it would be interesting to get to know more about him. A quest where you got to know more about him would be awesome. If we also would have to solove a puzzle or two and use the properties of a real saradomin follower, then that quest would become my favourite one, for sure. Go Sara :D Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Go Sara :D Well, you might be dispirited to find out what others have said about Sara in History and Lore (check my summary at the first page). Saradomin did make pact with Zammy to overthrow Zaro and planned to double-cross him afterward, but Zammy soon found out about his plan and decided to double-cross first. How is that for the God of Goodness to eat up his deal? Again, Saradomin claimed to have created the world of Runescape, but, as we all know, Guthix and other elder gods had created the world long before Sara even existed. How is that for the God of Goodness to claim credit that he did not deserve? The Haraguroi Club: Where Yandere Thrive for Chopping
