Ive just bought 13K willows and started to burn

maples are much more efficient

 

 

 

willows may be half as much but maples are 150% the exp

 

 

 

burn maples at least unless you have trouble making 40k an hr

Not an expert Fm'er myself, but I saw people firemake at Edgeville (Near Furnace and by bank); Falador West Well; Varrock Teleport spot; Grand Exchange; Duel Arena.

There are a couple of good places to do this. Grand exchange being one of them, and draynor being another.

Buy Logs

 

Go to edgeville

 

Run 2 lines south of the bank, and east to the river

 

Burn an inventory of logs

 

Run to bank

 

Repeat

With maples at 42 you will rocket to the mid 80's. It's only after 86 that it becomes slow and boring.

 

 

 

Best place to FM I found is the Ghost Port. Nice long lines there with few people to distract you and minimal lag. GE is a big no no.

 

 

 

If you can do All Fired Up and the subsequent minigame then using the ring/gloves will make it quicker still.

A tip: Have two Tinderboxes in you inventory, strategically placed. It becomes easier to click.

Don't delude yourself into thinking it's that short. It is very very boring and you will need a break as it's constant work (unlike cooking). I've had 99 banked for about 6 months but just got bored of it, even saying I only need 2 hours a night for a month.

 

 

 

I would get it to 80 then see how you feel about carrying about, certainly don't buy the supplies for 99 all at once.

Well, I just finished getting 92 FM for the Inferno Adze. The FM Cape is easy in theory, but in practice is actually quite a challenge. EXP is fast, but clicking is extremely repetitive, tedious, boring.

 

 

 

I find Piscatoris to be far and away the best place to go. Many huge, long straight paths for firemakers.

Light the beacons for the ring and gloves that help FMing. Every little bit in this boring skill helps, in my opinion.

Ooglog is absolutely the best place to burn. Deserted, with long multiple straight lines near the bank. Plus you don't have to fool with that ghostspeak mess or all the random noobs who will burn in your line just to be obnoxious.

Uhm, if you want to do straight lines (i'm getting bored after a few of them) then just start in front of the falador east bank. There's enough space to the left. It saves more run energy...

 

But however GE, Bounty Hunter and Fist of Guthix are all superior to Falador. This Ooglog thing for members is one good place, too.

second, maples are far better, you can get them from mishcellania or buy all the logs for 3.5mil.

 

 

 

third: choose your favourite town or place and fmthere, hop bank every so and then and keep clicking on log and tinderbox :D

ok i just burned 9k maples to get 80fm and i did it in duel arena- easy to do full invo in 1 line (no backtracking) and dont use 2 tinderboxes...waste of space plox

I suppose I should weigh in here.

 

 

 

Try several places for burning. I liked Yanille best, but would occassionally burn in Oolog, Varrock, or Edgeville to break up the monotony.

 

 

 

You can consistently get 150K to 160K per hour with maples. I used one tinderbox, second row, fourth spot down.

 

 

 

Stop at level 92 to get fire gloves and fire ring.

 

 

 

Set a weekly goal. I went from level 71 to level 99 in 4.5 months averaging 590K per week. When you hit your weekly goal, then do something else. Helps prevent burnout. :lol:

 

 

 

Always keep a magpie or foraging familiar while you burn. I averaged 10 to 15 jewelry items or gems per hour. May not seem like much, but it adds up over a hundred hours or so. When using a foraging familiar you are actually making some money while burning.
