Master_Smither
Runecraft is something you'd most likely get bored during and slayer is something you will most likely enjoy because of the fact it's not that repetitve. So either repeating the same thing over and over or doing tasks that repeat over and over over time but slayer is usually something different. Personally I enjoy both. tikityler
Well if you do rc all you get is rc xp and a bit of money, But if you were to do slayer you would get Slayer xp and Atk,Str,Def,Hp,Magic or range xp as well. Plus the many drops of seeds, herbs and charms that cane be used. So over all if you do rc you train one skill but if you do slayer you get the opitunuty to do up to 10 skills :) Edit And slayer can get you pray xp too
Seanthorn
I'm bad at both, but personally, i would go with Slayer :D
kdtaereo
I'd go with rc But slayer is more enjoyable, more lucrative and the cape is r0x :D @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon
stormveritas
I'd go with rc But slayer is more enjoyable, more lucrative and the cape is r0x :D Slayer is definitely more fun for me, but if you aren't powerleveling RC, Runecraft is unbelievably profitable. Even with the low margin on natures/bloods/deaths/etc, you need to make so many of them you'll be swimming in money. If you Slay, you just feel like it's faster because the money comes in bigger chunks, with occasional whip/d bow/dragon boot style drops.
kdtaereo
Well, rc is a constant profit slay is a luck-based profit :wall: and i didn't mean to slayer be more profitable, just mispelled \: @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon
Seanthorn
But Runescrafting is like most 'moneymaking' skills. Id you enjoy repetition of the same thing over and over and over again then this is the skill for you. What I've heard, 99 Runecrafting takes a year, I may be wrong but that's what I've heard. If i was you, Slayer is different all the time; yes, you will get some repeated tasks, but the more you do the skill the more you'll consider which monster is worth skipping and worth doing. Don't judge what monsters to skip on other people personal opinion, always take your own. As you get higher in Slayer, the rewards will be good and you'll most likely get a few other 99's on the way, depending on what combat style your going to use. swordfight
Why dont you train runecrafting until you get bored then go to slayer fora while then back to runecrafting? Gets both up \ Quest Cape - Combat 94, Done Grandmaster Quest - 27/11/08, Combat 115Godwars: 1 Sara hilt, 1 Bandos hilt, Bandos boots, 2x Steam battlestaff, Zammy spear, 6 Shards.Dks: 1 worrior, 1 axe
pinguimmaiden
Do Slayer 1st, since you can train 3 skills at once (Att/Str, Hp and Slayer). Take RC as a secondary goal, like when you bored of slay, do it 8-)
aglips
As you can see in my sig, I really enjoy slaying. I still do slayer tasks even if I'm already at level 99. And you can also see the RC is my lowest level skill. RC is so boring and extremely slow. But that's just my opinion.
mikeybeech
I would slay then use RC to break it up a bit so neither gets extremely boring, like Training high leveled skills tends to be. LONG WAY TO GO.
evilchiken
i know im a bit of a noob but i think rc think of the profit u can make (about 400m) +people will look up to u because it is probably the hardest cape) gd luck with whateva u choose :D in a dark dark forest in a dark dark housein a dark dark room in a dark dark cupbordthere is a dark dark Chicken!!!! mikeybeech
ehh not a noob naw. I can agree with the money factor, but i think the hardest skillcape would have to be... idk prolly slayer... u gotta do a LOT of tasks to get that.. or maybe herblore because its sooo expensive, or farming.. idk LONG WAY TO GO. Italian5kamikaze
Maybe use up a few K ess after every few tasks you do. Of course I hate runecrafting so I'd do slayer if I had to pick one. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
BBC3
rc is worth every second, but slayer if you just want to enjoy the game, not much profit from slayer, i wouldnt know anyway i never do slayer, i plan on doing it though. 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin

abbydog95
slayer, you get to enjoy the game instead of repeadly doing stuff over and over again. PSN: Skaterguy1224 Tactical Nukes -
llamster
not much profit???? DARK BOW? ABYSSAL WHIP!!?!? Whips have been around like 4 years and they are STILL worth like 1.5m.. and they drop often. dbow is OK, but abby demons, cave horrors, and dusties hella good drops. The money rates at all the best slayer monsters are nothing compared to runecrafting. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

The money rates at all the best slayer monsters are nothing compared to runecrafting. Thank you, even with the low rate of profit per rune made nowadays the profits still far outweigh slayer. It is also faster to get 99 RC than it is 99 Slayer. The only factor that would make slayer a better choice would be the CHANCE that Jagex introduces a new monster with a highly priced reward. However with that you also have to consider the amount of time spent on getting the drop too. All in all, if you are in it for the long-haul on each (which I am sorry to say but it will be a huge challenge) and you want more money, then go with RC'in. If you are not really looking for the higher money earner then go with slayer. Apparently, my signature was to big.

Cptbaker08
Or just do what ever you want to do, I personally would do slayer, just compare the two stats on my sig...pretty sad huh lol. But if yall would look he has 69 Slayer and 77 RC. Right now his profit would be in RC due to it being higher and he can make more and better runes then if he tried to kill monsters for profit.
