Super Smash Bros. Brawl should have been a nominee for the multiplayer. I also don't see Boom Blox being best Wii game, but I havn't played it so I don't know how good it is. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia should have gotten the handheld win, not Layton :?

Burnout Paradise wasn't that good IMO. GTA IV shouldn't of got GOTY either. The game got so damn boring.

Meh... I thought the 30 hours of story were good but once that was done it was probably the most boring Gta so far. Not sure it was should have won game of the year though,

 

 

 

The only other game on the game of the year list Ive played is gears 2 and that certain shouldn't have won. Its massively glitched in places and the multiplayer feels rushed.

 

 

 

Good to see Little big planet doing well, always nice to see a developer doing something original imo,

Otherwise, I watched it and it was a pathetic excuse for anything.

 

First of all, Jack Black hosted it, which completely screwed it from the start.

 

Secondly, it had GTA4 as the game of the year, which I cannot wholely disagree on, it was a great game, but there is no definitive game of the year, personally, knock out Fallout 3 and Gears, and those are the three greatest games of the year. Ones not better than the other, I found all of them to be perfectly good.

 

Also, they showed the preview for Brutal Legend. Too much Jack Black, I finally see the preview, and I said: "Holy [cabbage]...what the hell is this?"

 

First of all, it had Jack Black in it, second of all, it was a horrible preview. Third of all, it has not found a publisher.

 

And then weezer had to show, and they sounded like [cabbage]...

 

 

 

The VGA's were a joke...

I heard Jack Black actually did a good job at hosting it, one of the few good things.

 

 

 

Fallout 3 a GoTY contender? Really? The game was a huge disappointment and the combat ended up getting boring with just Run up to target > VATS > Head/Head/Head.

Gow2 and gta4 shouldn't be on there.

Honestly I would name Dead Space of Left4dead GoTY. Only reason I would probably do Dead Space over L4D though is because L4D hasn't reached it's potential yet through mods and such (which I'm waiting for :D).

I would've chosen Metal Gear Solid 4 as GOTY.

What is the criteria for "best graphics"? Pretty general, can mean anything from most realistic to best art direction or whatever, probabl accounts for the lack of PC ports except F3.

Boom Blox? Seriously? Man, that game blew like a cheap- no, no, bad Lenin. But still, seriously? And what about all the other categories of games? Adventures, horror, and yes, even JRPGs. Do they not get awards?

The game nominations in these categories are going to be in nomination for the same award from a different site no matter which you go to. like GOTY, the winner may be different but all finalists are going to be the same 4-5.

I don't think I would call LBP best game. Don't get me wrong I love the game one of my favorites I've got this year but I just don't think it deserves GOY award. GTA4 or MGS4 would have gotten my vote instead.

Well yeah, Dead space had excelent audio just like Left4dead had awesome multiplayer. Still that seems like a lot of awards to give to Littlebigplanet.
