im the kid that is smart, but cant seem to deal well with people. i have few friends, partly because most people where i live are hicks.

 

 

 

i think my biggest failing is that i have difficulty relating and socializing with people. so im the loner.

Well there's your problem. You could make friends with people, but you put yourself on a pedestal. I believe you moved to where you are now not to long ago, correct? You're probably pushing people away because you miss your old friends and everything. Just accept 'em for what they are and make friends.

Gah, i kinda get bullied for how good i am at the computers (tests are always 100%, as good (if not better) than my 16 yr old brother (im 13)) when anything at school happens to a computer and the teacher sends a student to get a technicion, at least one person in the class yells out; oh send Toby (me) and some of people call me names about it (usually computer nerd, geek, neek ect)

 

Kind of the same here. If something's broken, or if someone doesn't know how to work something and someone asks for that kind of help, it's always "Davis get over there". :| Whether that's a good thing or not I don't know.

 

 

 

I also seem to be known for not listening to heavy. Some guys were amazed when I could name the song that they were playing. (Who doesn't know One by Metallica?) I do acknowledge that the music I listen to is pretty weird, quite a bit of it has little or nothing to do with the other songs. Stuff like Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Thomas Newman (Modern classical), Maroon 5, Gorillaz, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, George Gershwin, Rammstein, ABBA, Beach Boys, Weird Al Yankovic, Mika, Fatboy Slim... Basically everything. Yeah, I have weird taste.

 

 

 

What's surprising though is how little people know about me. I do web design, PHP, [amateur] graphic design, photography, and I'm starting to get into 3D, yet people at school know me as the guy who spends 27 ½ hours per day on the computer and plays RuneScape. I quit a long time ago.

Yeah but talking about fighting on this thread is a bit sketchy. It's a stretch to say that your 'thing' is that you got into fights before since it's nothing that really sets you apart much from others. Most fights are forgotten within a few weeks anyways.

 

 

 

 

 

It's my 'thing' because all of the fourth and fifth grade I was in every class except my homeroom due to being in trouble from getting in fights at recess, lunch, in class, in the bathroom, at gym, at art, at the computer lab, library, music room... Kids just wouldn't leave me alone and when I said things back they threw punches. They never did learn that I threw them harder when I was mad.

 

 

 

Also, Lenin has the gist of what I said. I could get straight A's if I applied myself, but I'd rather read and draw and socialize. It just so happens that I can't flirt because no girls ever seem to catch onto the whole 'hitting on them' undertones.

It isn't like high school actually matters. Do you think people will care when you're 25 that you had a 4.0 GPA or whether you're an awesome guy to be around? 'Course, having both might help in the short run.
