Nadril
I think Bungies name would follow them much better if they tried to branch out some. Even another FPS (not set in the halo fiction) would be a good start.
Dizzle229
A successful new series would be good for them, I'm not denying that, but it's easier said than done. They could make alot or lose alot. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
Faux
Halo is like the Sims FPS. They make things so people want them changed so they have another reason for another update, barely tweak the gameplay, make the graphics better. Mario is dead. And Shadow, how is that even relevent in any possible way? And chances are you probably adopted the use of 'sad' in a demeaning manner from playing runescape or some other crappy MMO Halo had a campaign and local multiplayer. In Halo 2, they added online multiplayer which was the best online multiplayer that generation considering PS2/GC online connectivity failed. In Halo 3, they improved the multiplayer, added something called FORGE and THEATRE, not to mention better customization of various game modes. When you talk, you sound like durrrrrr i hate good graphics durrrrr i love nintendo. Seriously, think before you post. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Harakiri
So because Halo is the bestselling game and has the most people playing online it should continue? Just because of that? There is a point where a popular franchise should quit, and I believe Halo should quit now. If they want to get more money, then they should do another game series. Wow. You call Halo the bestselling game, but think the way for Bungie to make more money is do another game series? Are you stupid? Halo 3 is the bestselling game solely because of multiplayer. Plain and simple. If Microsoft would expand from their audience, they would have both the Halo audience coming with them, and would bring in others. The only stupid person here is you. Think about it, Halo 3 ended the trilogy, there are millions of people waiting for bungies next big game. They come out with a third person shooter titled "Cowboys and Indians". Not only are they going to bring with them a ton of their fans from Halo, they will also gain new fans. Which is what game companies are doing, though they continue to work on game franchises that everyone loves, they start new ones in different genres, or in the same genre, so that they gain more fans. Halo is one of the most overrated game series ever. Period. I bought it specifically for multiplayer, but apparently that's what matters anymore is multiplayer and online over an ACTUAL GAME! Theater Mode, whoopee, I can watch stuff again and send it around. Racing games have had this for a long time. Forge, whoopee, there are many other games that let you create your own levels, and they are much better than Forge. There is a whole game series called RPG Maker that you can get on the PS2 for twenty bucks. Halo's Forge hands you a map and gives you no options to alter the terrain, you only can set stuff around the area. That's exciting...
Faux
There's nothing wrong about buying a game for the multiplayer And going "whopee" and explaining what the feature is does *not* make it a bad thing. I don't understand what you're claiming there. So these features existed before, no [cabbage], but Bungie integrated it into their game nicely. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Nadril
The only thing I find funny is that you have the guy's with the Wii who praise the conduit's multiplayer. You than have the guy's with the 360/PS3 who laugh at the conduit's simplistic multiplayer and crappy look while praising their halo and killzone. You then have the guy's with the PC's who laugh at all of the above while praising our FPS games (Team fortress 2, Counter strike source, Unreal Tournement 3, CoD4, ect.). It's sort of funny. You 360 dudes just need to realize that halo looks a lot like the conduit to people who are used to FPS gaming on the PC. Aka we've seen that same thing way longer ago while it is "new" on your console.

But you tell me that is why the game is not bare bones is because it ripped things from other games. It didn't exactly integrate in good, once I am allowed to work on the terrain and create my own maps instead of place crap around then I will say it's good. Another Bungie fan boy who defends bungie like a nut. Can't ever have a conflicting opinion with a bungie fan boy or else they bite your head off for the stupidest things. You're the one exhausting yourself here. Yeah, Forge isn't perfect, but it's still a fun feature that Bungie included in the game. It's not meant to be a map creator but rather an editor. I never claimed it to be the best either. Don't put your crap in my mouth. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Nadril
I didn't say you were "banned" from it, just that that is how I usually see things (and how I think others see things too). The entire point was to say that PC FPS to 360 FPS is like 360 FPS to Wii FPS. Meaning that the 360 is behind the PC as far as innovation in the FPS genre goes, just like the Wii seems to be behind the 360 (sans motion controls). Nadril
Never meant to do that, I just wanted to put what some people think of halo in perspective. Either way I don't really care how long they continue the halo series, it doesn't effect me, but I do think they'd do well to step outside their boundaries a bit. Faux
I don't think they should be making Halo ODST to begin with. It's more of an expansion to Halo 3 which isn't really needed. I was hoping they would keep their word that Halo 3 was their last, but w/e I'm not buying it. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
TheValeyard
ODST as DLC would be fine. A fully priced game then no. Especially with Reach on the horizon.

Princess Viola
No Final Fantasy? OMG, the balls! :shame: Final Fantasy should NEVER be stopped as long they keep going the way they are, if the quality of the game start degrading then I might agree with you, but the way it's looking now (FF13) I wouldn't miss it for the world. I think they should end it once they get to like XI. Wait a minute.
nerdboyxxx
Yarp, I also forgot to add that Mario is dead...It was dead once they created Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games -.- seriously, how many wii games can you make that will have mario in it? Wasn't jumping on top of enemies old in about 1990's? At least crash bandicoot gave you the opportunity to spin them dead -.- Once they made mario 3d, they doomed the series to a pile of crappy classic remakes. Leave the classics alone for gods sake. unkn0wnwarrior
Yarp, I also forgot to add that Mario is dead... It is clearly not dead. Mario's popularity is still amazingly high. I will, however, agree that they should return to making 2D games. And not remakes, just new ones. If they do not wish to return to 2D, then I say they should give up. Oh, and jumping on heads is STILL the coolest way to KO an enemy

Dizzle229
I think the only game in the Mario series I ever really liked was Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on the Gameboy Color. rushrock
Mario is great, and can still expect great games to go with it. It's not dead, and I don't think it will be for a while. I don't know where everyone is going with the Mario thing.

I don't know where everyone is going with the Mario thing. I won't say the newer Mario games aren't good, but I think the best ones were the old 2D ones. Why? Simplicity. Run, Jump, Collect Coins, Find Princess Mushroom. It was just so simple, yet so terribly hard. I think the only game in the Mario series I ever really liked was Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on the Gameboy Color. I also hear that Super Mario 3 is good, but I've only gotten a few minutes playtime with it. Which ones have you played?
