me
http://www.jagexstore.com/contact_us.php states that the Jagex store is taxing people in the EU at the UK rate of 17.5%, but Alistair Darling temporarily reduced VAT to 15%. Were the prices reduced when the change occured? Mechscape World (the original MechScape fansite)

T. Skill
Who buys that stuff? That's the real question. Let them overtax, if people are willing to buy stuff from the Jagex store still then oh well. Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?
Mylez
These things take time to update, give them a chance? It hasn't been that long since VAT was dropped, I'm sure JaGeX will follow. :

XxTearGodxX
I have no idea if they are over taxing customers but even if they weren't I wouldn't purchase an item from there with the sipping being as high as it is since I'm in the USA.

Mercifull
I would guess that while it still says 17.5 on the site you will only get charged 15% on payment. Much like how I go into a supermarket and buy something for 99p and only get charged 97p at the tills. It.s because companies haven't had the time to change labelling on everything, I am confident that the card payment will have the lower rate of tax. I am not however going to spend any of my own money to test it. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. @Dan3HitU
It's actually illegal to be over 15%, so it's worth questioning them. [-- DYNAMIC SIGNATURES FOR RUNESCAPE 3 & OLDSCHOOL 2007 RUNESCAPE --]
Mercifull
It's actually illegal to be over 15%, so it's worth questioning them.Question them only when you are CHARGED 17.5% VAT not just because its advertised as such. Walk into any supermarket and look at the prices on the shelves and virtually all of them will show the higher rate. True since the 15% is fairly new-ish and supermarkets have a lot of shelves :ohnoes: There was a sign up at my local ASDA that the prices would be changed to 15% at the till until they'd changed all the prices and they did so not all supermarkets are ignoring the law. Then again some just put their prices back up. -.- But anyway, maybe they take the extra 2.5% off at the checkout, I don't suppose any of you have bought something from there? What do you mean no one buys the items?
