How to kill bronze dragons?

I got 35 bronze dragons for a slayer assignment, how should I go about killing them?

I plan on using full proslyte (or however it's spelt), whip, antifire pots, pray pots, and meleeing them (73+ melee stats).

Is this a reasonable way to go about this?

Thanks

ranging them with emerald (e) and diamond (e) bolts would be faster + no prayer reqd. anti drag. shield/ dfs with antifire pot.

Actually... this is called WASTE! They are too weak to use diamond (e) and not worth the time trying to poison

Plain mithril / steel bolts do just fine

using e bolts is just to speed up a bit. even broad bolts are fine otherwise.

When meleeing:

Head: Slayer Helmet > Black Mask > Proselye Helmet > Any helmet

Body & Legs: Proselyte > Prayer boosting gear

Boots: Bandos > Other Prayer boosting > Any

Gloves: The best you can get

Shield: Anti-dragonfire shield

Cape: Prayer boosting > Obby > Any

Neck + Ring: Glory + Wealth

Weapon: Single-handed with good Crush > Abby Whip

Supplies: Take 4 Anti-dragonfire Potions, 1 or 2 Sharks, 1 Super Strenght + Attack Potion, 4 Prayer Potions.

Any number up to 50 Bronze Dragons is a breeze in Brimhaven. Either take a disposable axe (bronze/iron) or you can let it hang in your inventory. Beware the dogs and the lone Black Demon.

Go the chaos tunnels there a lot easier to get to, are multi-combat (dogs are too much hassle in brimhaven) and are closer to a bank.

Thanks for the ideas, but (always gotta be one) i'm not willing to drop the 1.5mil or whatever it is on a blk mask or dfs. Asides from that, it seems good.

Ranged is slower than melee. You could try tanking them but it'd be a bit dangerous at your 72 defence. Chaos Tunnels is by far the best place to kill them. If you're going to pray use zammy brews instead of super attack pots; they boost your attack by 1 more than a super attack and restore your prayer.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Depends on your technique. If your praying melee and properly antifired then you should be able to stay there till you run out of pots even while they're busy teaming you. Then its just a matter of how fast you can kill them - at your levels it may be a bit slow (I'd always use pure sets against all metals).

Still a lot faster assignment than black dragons, even though they do drop a horrible load of junk.

DFS is 15m, black mask is 600k, and the mask is totally worth it if you plan on slaying a lot.

I can't make antifire potions yet. I tried buying them at max price. There are none on the G.E. at the moment.

I can't believe how tough those things are...and those are just bronze.

I just had a 35 bronze dragon task the other day, I just put on my barrows armour (torag's plate and verac's skirt), a black mask, d boots, glory, d scim(was training strength), and an anti dragon shield. I could tank them easily using pineapple pizzas as food and using antifire pots to keep fire damage at 0. A superset REALLY helps with this(a full superset, super attack, super strength, and super defence). I hit a good number of mid 20s and killed them pretty fast, and my spirit cockatrice's mage attacks actually hit it a few times(plus the familiar took a good number of hits for me). All in all, it was a fast easy task that I actually got good drops on. I got a dragonstone, a rune longsword, an addy plate, and a loop half. These plus a few dragon bones made it a profitable task considering it was only 35 kills. Have fun out there.

The quest points in the stat pic above this message is wrong, disregard it.

  • 2 weeks later...

OK, so I should use black mask, protheslyte, antifire pots, pray pots, anti-dragon sheild, and some good-quality food? What about pouches? (42 summoning).

Thanks anyways!

if i were you just wear torag anti fire shield and take anti fire pots. they dont hit me much that way. also u should just fight the ones in the chaos tunnels a lot easier and u dont have to worry about dogs and there is no one ever there. i stayed there for 2 weeks thinking they dropped a visage :wall: .
