January 7, 200917 yr In your opinion, what do you think could have happened if we, as players and voters (in this case) voted for one of these, instead of the Phoenix: Skeletal wyvern| 22%| 35,116 votes Mammoth | 14% |22,039 votes Griffin |13% |20,243 votes Kangaroo | 9%| 14,416 votes Penance healer| 5% | 8,607 votes Giant mole| 5% | 7,823 votes Killerwatt | 1% | 2,423 votes Giant kebbit | 1% |1,563 votes (Official Results and Percentages) Do you think we could've had a better quest, not a quick 5 minute thing (but I loved the reward). What would have it been like for you too see people with Giant Moles or Mammoths as familiars? I'd prefer a Kangaroo, I'd call him George and he can Flykick my eemenies.
January 7, 200917 yr If there was a Skeletal Wyvern familiar, the bones would likely be used. It'd bring more profit to my Wyvern killing, that's for sure. Do you hate Wyverns or Warped Terrorbirds? January 7, 200917 yr Mammoths had already been made previously and they looked awesome. [-- DYNAMIC SIGNATURES FOR RUNESCAPE 3 & OLDSCHOOL 2007 RUNESCAPE --]
January 7, 200917 yr The Kangaroo would of been quite useful for it's caring items ability, and it's spec would of been pretty neat (Most likely a kicking attack).
January 7, 200917 yr Author Mammoths had already been made previously and they looked awesome. Really? I've never seen them
January 7, 200917 yr IMO, Skeletal Wyverns look much cooler than the phoenix... Goals: 94 magic94 ranged55 slayerAddy gloves-done
January 7, 200917 yr Mammoths had already been made previously and they looked awesome. Really? I've never seen them  they need to be officially released this year in my opinion i think 90% they might, i don't think they'll be a familiar though, they had been promised in icelands in the 2004 post, "what we hope to achieve this year". i really want mammoths :\
January 7, 200917 yr no way it's have been a boxing kangaroo... people used to have boxing matches with them and had to cover there feet coz roos generally will rip your stomach open if you go near one that is aggresive ]
January 7, 200917 yr no way it's have been a boxing kangaroo... people used to have boxing matches with them and had to cover there feet coz roos generally will rip your stomach open if you go near one that is aggresive I don't think a kangaroo is as dangerous as a mammoth. It's rather hard to compare real world animals with ones that aren't existant. Maybe mammoths actually have some allergies to kangaroos that we never discovered, but I think a mammoth would win. Kangaroo as a high summoning familiar for fighting? Could it really be compared to the mythical dragons and great beasts of Runescape? I don't think it would be for fighting, probably as a beast of burden. That would have been nice, but we already have enough beasts of burden. Penance healer would probably outclass the bunyip for healing. I don't know about the unicorn stallion though, but maybe penance healers would be hard to make like phoenixes. It's just a healer though. Even though they're very powerful, I wouldn't want another one. Though I wonder how we would have unlocked them? Maybe you have to tame them in Barbarian Assault? That sounds like it would be a humorous quest. Skeletal wyverns sound like a great combat familiar. They're huge, undead, dragonlike, have deadly freezing breath, normally requires a shield to defend against certain death, and require a slayer level to kill! It wouldn't be that good of course... Could it? Maybe we'll get a skeleton wyvern later on, seeing as it did place in second. Hmmm, a Griffin? Sounds like a "mount" of some type. Not good... Maybe you could ride it as teleportation or something. I don't imagine it being a good combat familiar though. We have lots of teleportation anyway, I'd rather have an awesome phoenix than a new method of transport. Killerwatt, giant kebbit, and giant mole... They don't sound good at all. Maybe the killerwatt could give seizures to the foe or something. The giant kebbit could hide in bushes for a sneak attack (oh my)! The giant mole could just burrow around to escape... Not exactly a nice trait for a loyal helper. Maybe you can hide in the hole, go to a whole underground network, teleport a small distance! Yeah, all three sound unlikely, unless those were implimented, it doesn't sound that great of a familiar. January 7, 200917 yr I mean the phoenix is nice, but whats up with the rainbow tail? I haven't seen any phoenix's with rainbow tails. It looks a little more like a sparrow than a big magestic phoenix. I'm a little disappointed. A wyvern familiar would've looked better overall, even if the wyvern bone requirement would make them bad for experience gaining in summoning. Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde
January 8, 200917 yr Imo, everyone saw phoenix as the first option and didnt even look at all of them before they clicked submit. i for one did that lol, i wouldve chosen wyvern haha. Mind tricks brought to you by. JaGex.
January 8, 200917 yr wyvern would have been my second choice hard decision fire winged thingy or ice winged thingy, I happened to hold with those who favor fire but I think I know enough to know that ice would have sufficed yes, I just butchered that awesome poem Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.

January 8, 200917 yr i voted for skeletal wyvern because no matter what you would have to think a skeletal wyvern summon would be decently powerful. kind of like a dfs or dragonstone bolts and would require high levels. i figure we'd have more background given on the skeletal wyverns and it would probably have just been a simple update of adding a new familiar rather than a short quest and d&d. i guess i'm wondering what the next guaranteed content poll will involve. Why is the line between what we got and what we didn't get always seen as a magical land filled with sugar gum drops and lolipop dreams...And the sludge we got? No matter the beast, I'm sure we'd still have the tutorial quest, just in a different area.
January 8, 200917 yr This guaranteed content poll only proves that Jagex needs to implement a skill requirement to vote. Only level 70+ Summoners should have been allowed to vote in this particular poll. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
January 8, 200917 yr I really would have liked the penance healer now that I think of it. When I voted I was thinking what would look best so I voted for either phoenix or mammoth (can't remember). Penance healer and mammoth would have been the useful ones if you ask me. Mammoth has BoB written all over it, perhaps something that can outclass terrorbirds carry limit while outclass the cost of a tortoise? Penance healer is as clear as day, it would have been some type of healer. If it would have been 3hp/15secs then we have made a huge mistake in voting for phoenix. The healer could possibly even poison our enemies, making it a hybrid healer/combat familiar (something only seen from the three basic titans as of now). Then again, I have a feeling that it would have been some cruddy level 40 summoning creature that heals us of poison once per minute and it's scrolls would heal 5 hp. As for the others? meh... Wyvern seems a bit weird to summon, just wouldn't look right. A Draconic Guide V1.4, Fimer - Multi-Timer Farming Timer V3.Dragon Boots: 39|Abyssal Whips: 16|Dark Bows: 1|
