I think that the this review isn't totally correct.

This isn't like other games, for one it's a Java. And I think that RS has the best graphics of a Java game anywhere.

This is a very addictive game. I would like to see some1 try and quit it for good that didn't forget their pw or get hacked.

I noticed that this is like one of the first ones to be posted, is it because it is one of the bad ones? I would like to see a review in favor of RS.

Yea but that doesnt make up for the fact that the graphics DO suck. Even if its java they still suck, and it was jagex's decision to make a game in java... they didnt HAVE to afterall. So the game IS ugly, and theres no way around it. You can make up all the excuses possible... and nope, they STILL suck... Java or not. So the magazine didnt say anything wrong there...

65% sounds either right on the money, or a lil high. Remember, PC mags compare games... And runescape compared to other games is poo. (java or not)

I Give the review a 95%.

I agree with it.

OK (puts flameproof vest on) gimmie your best shot.

Magazines need to learn that when rating a game you are supposed to rate it based on it's SYSTEM, aka, Java. Anyway, do these people not realise that to give ANY MMORPG a true review you must have played since the begginigng, or dam close to it. Hmmm, I might write a review on rs now cause of these people >:).

I agree guys, I doubt they had a chance to fully enjoy the game they probably only played for a bit you need to play for a while to get the full feel of the game, and if they'd expierienced members and all the skills im sure that would compincate for the graphics (which arn't bad at all for a free, low memory game)...

Haha so true, but it does take some skill to pk and do the trawler. Its more of a brain game where you do like puzzles and stuff.

Please dont ever refer to rs as a "brain game"

I think 65% is a fair review.

RuneScape HD in 2560x1024!

I know the answer and, because I cannot convey screaming feverishly on forums without looking odd or getting banned, just imagine it as such.

Very few people play it as a "brain game" but to truely suceed it requires a good amount of thinking or no life. Of course one of those is easier than the other.

Also it can take a lot of intelligence to do things like quests/treasure trails without using any guides at all.

Unfortunately, there's no community involvement beyond buying stuff and hitting people

Runescape has a much more active community than many of the popular online games.

None of the challanges require anything beyond repeated clicking of the left mouse button
Welcome to the world of MMORPGs. I fail to see how the other MMO's take more skill than Runescape, and I've tried several.

It's breathtakingly ugly, too.
For such a small Java game the graphics are great. Any better and the client size would have increased a lot.

I'm not saying the review was unfair, but those points weren't well thought-out IMHO.

1. No, no it doesn't. Most MMORPG"s nowadays have things like mod/admin guided storlines and daily activities.

2. Oh so many are more than positioning your mouse and clicking while you watch T.V.

3. They are saying, that it is ugly for that reason. It does look good for what resources it uses, but it's still ugly compared to the other MMORPG's that still charge.

1. Staff-organised are not what makes a community, far from it.

2. I have yet to find a single MMORPG that requires skill to succeed in.

3. Irrelevant comparision. RS charges a third of what those games does, can be played on any internet-connnected computer and is available for free. It is in a genre of its own, a comparision to the graphics of retail MMORPGs is foolish. Compare it to other Java MMRPGs instead, because that's the only comparisions worth doing.
