ixfd64
When In Pyre Need was released, phoenix quills were worth about 3k in the Grand Exchange. I knew they were going to go up in price, so I bought several hundred of them. It seems the price is stabilizing so I'm going to sell them soon. Anyways, did anyone else invest in phoenix quills? If so, how much did you invest? ixfd64
Yeah, it just started going down. I think yesterday's value of 10.2k was the peak. bedman
I had bought like 150 when they came out but I sold them right after I found out the xp got nerfed. I dont get why they still rose after that TBH. Meh, 1000k profit missed, not that bad. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
YojimboKaze
Count me in. Ill quote what I had written in another thread, I realized it would be a good idea to invest on phoenix quills a little while after they came out. Lucky me, I was able to mass purchase them ( I purchased 1216 phoenix quills for 5126 gp ) before jagex limit it to 5 phoenix quills every 4 hours. So far I'm raking in 608k - 850k per day from my phoenix quills. Question is.. when to sell ? I doubt it would reach 20,000 per Quill.. But, time will tell. Profit so far (Phoenix quills): 4.490.688 GP. (All together: 10.725.120 GP) Banking for 99 mage. I knew they were gonne crash when they had only risen by about +300 gp yesterday ( instead of the usual 600-800 gp increase ). Yet for some reason I didn't go out selling them :wall: ( Yes, I could get cash offers back then ). Had to sell them in a rush today because the crash begun. Unfortunetly not for cash but for random items here and there. Luckily.. I still hold a 3-4mil profit -.- ( By the time all the items are sold ) edit: Don't have any phoenix quills or pouches anymore. + It appears that everyone in world 2 is beginning to realize not to trade their masks, pvp items, or junk for quills at all . llamster
They won't rise much more than what they are right now, and I'll bet they'll drop. Think about it: Is it practical to pay 10k+ for a summoning second? The initial rise was just hype, probably. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Lets_3ekout
Looking at the graph and RuneScape's previous new items and their price trends, they look ripe for a crash. Not to put out a panic or anything, but if I were you, I'd be selling mine ASAP. Forerunner
My friend invested, made roughly around 500k - 600k. I got a share of the profits because I sold him mine. Only fear God,Know the weapons of the weak,The weakness of the hard.
ixfd64
A few days ago, I was buying at the highest price on the G.E. and it still hard to get any. Now I'm selling at the lowest price and so far nobody has bought any. :\ ARENAscape: Baratus [AS] max hit: 166 with Moon Battle Hammer ixfd64 [AS] max hit: 116 with (untitled spell #2)

n_odie
It was a good item to invest in. I do kinda view this thread as a "O crap they are going down, I am going to make threads hoping I can sell to all the gullible forum users" as we see on RSOF. XxTearGodxX
I just sold my Phoenix Quills last night for around 9k each. Thank goodness I did before they started to go down.
spooferfish
I lost membership the day after the quest so I couldn't buy more. I sold the few I had for 9k though, what was nice. :D
hkscaper
I'm quite surprised that it takes so long before they crash. Paying 10k for a quill is insane even without the xp nerf. (someone has estimated a crimson charm costs about 4k iirc) The crash occuring on the same day of new game content coming out is no coincidence, the novelty just runs out.
