If it gets bad reviews, clearly the critics aren't very intelligent, because they read the book as it was supposed to be read, instead of expecting the first post to be a tarp. See what I did there?

And the point of the rest of the post was this: The rant the OP is subtly making is about an issue which can only arise if you haven't structured your thread properly. If you're going to make a misleading OP, it's your own fault when people address the misleading argument you've made. And if the issue being discussed in the thread is sufficiently different to the issue outlined in the OP, make a new thread. It won't happen in the first place if people remember not to go off-topic.

The problem is this is not the RSOF, and we do not have a 2000 charecter limit. I don't know if we even have a limit. Multiple posts by the OP are normally reserved for the AOE forum where some (but not many) will put each topic of a guide on a different post.

 

 

 

Then again, this applys nicely to the help and advice forum where many don't read the responses and thus everyone repeats the same stuff, sometimes none of it being the answer to the question asked.
