ok i have tried camping at both the Dusties for the d chain and the black dragon for the visage(range/mage lvl isnt high enough to kill irons/steels) and i was just wondering which do i have a higher chance of getting the visage or the D chain

both are equally rare.

ok thanks for the info i been at dusties about 3 or 4 days now and in about 1k+ kills nothing but alot of soul runes,rune arrows,red vambs,and d med other than that nothing good yet

The dusty drop rate is estimated at 1:5000, as for the black dragons I have not idea.

 

Personally I would never hunt for either.

The visage drop rate is worse than D-chain; it's been estimated at easily 1/10000.

It may be a close call depending on the probabilities but I would take a stab at the D chain being first to drop.

According to an RSOF thread with an enormous sample group, the Dragon Chain is about 1/20,000 kills. I've gone ~15,000 kills without a chain (or any dragon drop for that matter), so I'd suggest you avoid Dust Devils and just going with boss hunting.

I would avoid both, as you'd make far more money and xp at Green dragons/Armoured zombies.

I've gotten a drac visage going from 50-81 slayer, and no dragon chains.

There's a difference, but not enough to matter. I'd stay at Black Dragons for a Visage because even if you don't get one you'll be rich off the hides and bones :thumbup:

Trying to make money with rare drops is like trying to feed your family with the proceeds of doing the lottery. If you do get it, then your sorted, if you don't then you're going hungry.

 

 

 

You are far better off doing something with guarantees you a profit, even if it isn't millions per drop, as the time you invest makes it millions.

 

 

 

Personally I would do slayer. Steady profit and you will get huge respect from your other players. Someone called me a PC Product last week, soon changed there tune when they found out I was 94 slayer and had worked for my levels. :thumbsup:

I got a dragon chain from dusties in under I spose, 1k-1200 kills. I was hunting charms when going for 68 summon an chance of a chain made it a fun place to be, then booya chain, free8millthxkbai. :)

I can't count the number of times i've explained this to some 'friends'.

 

Making money from fighting is by far best through slayer.

 

Drops value will increase along your progress.

 

Combat will also be trained (and experience in luring, facing noobs...).

 

Charms will come.

 

Money will come too unless you make big mistakes.

I would stick with killing black dragons in hope of a visage and just bank all the bones and hides you get you will make money that way with a chance of making alot of money.
