Your opinions are totally subjective, nothing is inherently "immature" or "unvalid" just because you say so. The people who posted in this thread, more specifically the ones who followed the basis of it, obviously don't think that what they're doing is "immature" or any of the other adjectives you may label them as.

I guess my sense of sarcasm is so utterly refined it avoided even your detection? What980, maybe you should learn to make good threads first or something. Asking people for their "thought process of how they got to that thought" will not work for a thread like this. I don't understand the whole "don't post in a thread you dislike, you're only bumping it!" argument though - would you rather I posted a separate thread? As for the productiveness of his post, I think it was about as productive as going into a room full of Liberal Democrats, as a Conservative, and tell them they are all stupid. Nothing is accomplished except for argument and pointless conflict (not debate).

If someone posts such a bias and subjective, in such an environment provided by the thread, isn't the outcome obvious? I think you, with your 6k+ posts, would know the social tendencies of TIF when such a post is made in such a thread.

Well, if you feel the need to attack a group of people within a thread, maybe start a thread about immaturity on TIF, or PM some of the people that really enraged you.

 

Personally, I look down upon insults/attacks/belittlement against people because of their age, esteem or any uncontrolable feature of a person.

Threads like these literally are the worst kind of threads. When will you guys realise that you can't post a "how _______ are YOU?" topic and expect anything but a thread full with awkward posters trying to be funny or people trying to boost their ego ("heh yea i bench 430lbs and am 8'5 what of it? 8-)"). Do you really give a damn if something is "accomplished"? It's an online off-topic forum for a game that no one in the forum plays anymore. It's not like it really matters, especially when it's a topic people are willing to discuss (as in this case, and hell, even in your analogy- debate would occur, it just wouldn't get anywhere (like 90% of the 'debates' here)).
