bedman Posted June 19, 2010 Author Share Posted June 19, 2010 There hasn't really changed that much for ranged, just a few small things: You can use extreme ranged pots for better xp and super prayer pots to last longer. There's also the soul wars cape which is a very viable alternative for the accumulator (+12 prayer seems more useful than + 4 ranged). Familiars can be renewed now, so if you bring a beast of burden, it's much easier to renew it (you don't have to pick up all its items etc). Then, there's also the antipoison totem, but that's not worth using there IMO. You could also argue chinning has become less attracting because of the release of the focus sight and full slayer helmet. You can get 80-100k ranged xp an hour now on some tasks in kuradal's dungeon. On the other hand, our economy has been inflating quite a bit, making money much easier to get, yet chins have stayed pretty cheap, so overall, chinning has gotten relatively cheaper. I Did it for like 30 mins and got like 110k xp. Tbh it speeds up the longer you're there (i was logging in and out) I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Some say it's better to use armadyls or karils because of the higher ranged bonus overpowering the 15% accurary (armadyl legs + armadyl top + sacred clay coif +barrows gloves + unholy book). Void is 10% higher damage and 10% ranged level (or 20% damage and 10% accuracy, not sure), by the way, which is why it's so good. Guide is getting pretty outdated with all the latest additions. If anyone still cares, these are the optimal things you should bring now: Elite void > void (prayer bonus)Elite void + deflecter and armadyl top (in stead of void top) > elite void with zamorak book (more ranged bonus)Soul wars cape > any other (huge prayer bonus)Rigour > eagle eyeOverloads > extreme ranged pots > extreme potsArcher ring (i) > archer > ring of life The optimal set up would be:Void ranger helmetFuryArmadyl chestplateElite void botomsRanger bootsSoul wars capeRed chinsVoid deflectorArcher ring (i) The optimal inventory would be:OverloadsSteel titan scrolls + pouch (probably a second one if you have a high prayer lvl)Super prayer pots (slight overkill, prayers should do fine)Holy wrenchHouse teletab I believe you should get up to 420k ranged xp per hour at 99 ranged with optimal conditions. Found a nice guy who didn't care about rank. Right now, I don't have armadyl or ranger boots for the ultimate set up, but I'll repost that set up once I get those again. Nope.It may have been a bit less, but it was alot of xp that's for sure. I did 800k xp in 2.5 hours including banking.Also I was at 98 range when I did it.
