The new Mini-game Soul Wars came out on 10th February 2009, and the reward offers prayer and slayer xp.

 

What I think will happen is people making lvl 3 noobs and loafing around each game and spend on slayer xp... ABUSE!!!@!@!@

From what I have heard, the xp isn't that much. Not enough at any rate that a low level would be able to take advantage of it.

Slayer is ridiculously easy at a low level anyway. Its when slayer becomes high level that the xp takes forever.

Who cares, there is gonna be around 200+ players a side even when the game dies down... They have gota be doing summet, Im sure any skiller that want to train summon/slayer using SW isnt gonna just walk around gettin killed for 20 mins a time.

Using rings of recoils even goes faster than trying that I'd say <_

Any skill is easy at low levels, except perhaps Runecrafting or Farming.

 

 

 

But you don't have to worry about Slayer being devalued by a minigame, like so many other skills. The rewards at soul wars allow experience that is below average at best.

The experience isn't worth it for any level and for all skills, including the charms.

 

 

 

However, what could become an issue are these leechers that just get in a game and wait out 20 minutes to get points.

 

 

 

I do think once the game settles down and less people go there, you could go with your mates and only kill the pyrefiends and jellies the whole 20 minutes (since you get experience) and purposely get a draw or win at the last few minutes. That might be worth it EXP-wise.

I can't say anything about the exp since im f2p at the moment. Gonna try it out tomorrow.

Entering a game in the last few minutes though can be done, and if you have enough mates on other worlds playing who know how long the game will last for, you can hop and collect on those games too increasing the 1 game per 20 mins into a lot more.

The game just came out, you probably haven't even played it yet, and how can it get abused? Isn't the point of a reward to REWARD YOU with things?

at lvl 88 slayer, i get just over 1k slayer xp per point. if i win, ill get 3k slayer xp. in those same 20 minutes, i probably could have goteen atleast that much xp, more combat xp, and soem good drops. however.. hitpoints... 7.8k at 96 per point? yes please.

I really have to agree. If someone wastes their time to try to get it, who are we to stop them for such little EXP?

It sounds like the slayer xp from Soul Wars is underrated. I remember barely managing 10K an hour while getting 85 slayer myself. It's no doubt faster, now, but 6K an hour without actually having to teleport around doing slayer tasks on average isn't bad at all, and that's assuming 2 points per game, roughly 3 games per hour.

someone with 91 slayer gets like 1k a point......... lolllllllllllllllllll

That's in the high levels. At 73 i get somewhere around 630 wich ends up as around 3,8k per hour. From 73 to 74 it would take roughly 27 hours.
